Excellent entertainment. The visits to the trailer parks. The arrests of criminals in Republican  dominated and controlled states like Kentucky, Florida, Alabama etc. was revealing

There was also a show on A&E called Live PD. It was a great demonstration of American culture. You know all those mass swarmings of retailers and the plague of shoplifting in the USA,  is it exceptionalism that it seems common in the USA, but a rarity in the UAE,  Japan, Thailand, Singapore and other places?  I also like to peruse the mugshots of the mostly white US criminals at https://www.thesmokinggun.com/mugshots    They are very exceptional  😉 The USA is so exceptional that it has one of the highest incarceration rates in the world. It also is characterized by its school shootings and a culture that puts the right to carry firearms in public places above the right to peace and safety.

Well Ive already responded to that sort of stuff earlier. Keep watching TV and remember, our criminals are tougher than yours.

Must be a boring day for topics.

We Americans are not exceptional ok!  Forget what Obama said and move on with your lives.

We are just as Eff Up as any other country on this planet.

Sorry to burst your bubbles.

And?  Who is perfect genius?  Tell me and I will move to join them.

Silly. My post made no reference to Trump whatsoever yet your glasses are full of Trump obsession.
& yet he was free to do so without the government infringing on his right to do so.

I know you can't see it in the mirror, but TRUMP is tattooed on your forehead in that signature scarlet.  You don't need one of his Chinese made hats.

It will take some serious effort on your part to make that mark disappear.  Start with a few dozen posts with actual facts in them.

Who said anyhting about Democrats? The Republicans have spent waaaay too much time and money on you pathetic squabbling little children too.

The American taxpayer is tired of paying for ingrate losers who cant get your own houses in order.  You Euros cant feed or power or heat yourselves, your tax structure is not conducive to innovation, your economies are stagnant, you are ruled by unelected woke bureaucrats, you have no enumerated rights, you're full of sectarian and religious and political hate, your population is sheep, you have airs of superiority even though the sole source of your power is the mere fact that you are "Europe", and you are the source of all the wicked ideologies in this world.

You say that America is "violent" simply because we have more of an underclass than you, yet you riot at football matches to the point that fans get banned, why your gangs cut off heads in the streets.

You say that America is racist when those same Euro football fans toss banannas at blacks, while your intellectuals deny the holocaust and give homes to terrorists.

You sniff and look down on America because YOU Brought slavery here, ignoring the fact that your lot were slavers before we ever were a nation.

You call us genocidal colonizers? Really?

You blame us for wars and the way we conduct it, even though it BENEFITS you. Hell, what little industrial base you have makes weapons for us.

You laugh at our lifestyle and espouse socialism while we pay the freight to keep the Russians off of you, not even mentioning the fact that we kept you all from speaking German..

I refuse to accept a holier than thou attitude from a bunch of folks who are responsible for more death and hatred than any other group in history. Your bunch make Genghis Kahn look like a piker.

Ill give credit to the Poles and Hungarians for beginning to learn how to act.

I agree regarding Asians and I saw one example of it first-hand.  After the Vietnam war some Vietnamese were brought to America and settled in different areas.  One area was northern Virginia.  I worked at a community college there and the campus I was at set up special classes to teach these Vietnamese English.   There may have also been some acclimation sessions.

Most of these Vietnamese worked very hard, often at two jobs or more.   Many of the jobs were blue collar--gardeners, restaurant workers, office cleaners, etc.   They did the long hours of hard work, saved their money, and in a few years they had started their own garden service, restaurant, office cleaning company, and so on.  The goal was for the next generation, their children, to go to college and have a better life than they did--and many achieved it in one generation.

Although life had dealt them a bad blow--their country had fallen and they had ended up in an alien country across the world--there wasn't a 'woe is me' attitude.   Instead, it was, ok, this bad thing has happened, we've been given a new opportunity, let's get to work.

For sure.  When I lived in Northern Virginia, A Vietnamese girl used to cut my hair.  I'd go once a month or so.  Over time, she told me all about coming to America with her mother as a refugee. Apparently, they didn't have much when they came, but they didn't let that stop them.  The mother worked, and the kid slowly grew up in that environment the Vietnamese community there.. She and her mother saved every penny they could and finally got to the point where they could put down some money on a townhouse. She said it was all the money they had In the world. They were scared, but they did it anyway.  Fast forward 10 years or so and the girl learned how to cut hair.  When I knew her, she was working at a salon in DC near K street and was always booked solid six days a week, all day long.  She was probably making $100 an hour.  And she had a mini real estate empire going. I guess the housing bubble helped with that venture.

I also knew a Korean guy that lived in Virginia.  He grew up in Korea but somehow his family moved to America when he was in grade school. His father worked in an auto factory, but he eventually went to law school ands is now a federal judge.

San Diego also had an entire area of Vietnamese refugees.  Same type of stories.  I'm sure most of the kids that came over are doing just fine at this point.

I've also met other immigrants that came to America and did extremely well.  Engineers, doctors, lawyers, etc.  People from India, Pakistan, Ukraine, Russia, Romania. They all came with nothing, and yet they made it work.

The girls have reserved a spot for their boy.

Center towards the front. Right behind the fat girl in pink.  Same color as your spandex pants at the gym benching over 300 lbs.

You should feel honored to join them.

After all, you’ve earned that spot.

Make sure you open your mouth wide and scream.

True.  I think the idea many American's have that the USA is the greatest nation on earth is the result of the period between 1940 and 1970.  In that era the USA was the worlds leader in so many ways that we began to believe nothing else was close.

While I don't fall into the jingoistic path of the USA is the greatest in everything now it still does offer much to it's citizens.  And is a better than average place to live.  But some are insular and don't recognize there are lots of other places that offer wonderful lives as well.

What does sadden me is because we yanks have a bit of a chin up we are great attitude and because in fact we HAVE done so much in the last 80 years many people cop an attitude and want to knock us down a peg or two for no reason.  This forum for example has many members that clearly have issues with America.

Whatever.  I am not ashamed of being a yank and feel my nation has given the world much.  We might be nearing the end of greatness now but we had a hell of a run.

I'm also not ashamed to be American. Historically I think an overall positive impact on the world. But clearly we have lost our way putting the autocratic criminal demagogue back in power.

Not to worry!  Biden will no longer be in power as of January 20th.  Fear no more.

BTW, expect a visit from @Lacessit for using “wat” instead of way.  He loves criticizing others grammar imperfections.

You might be able to edit it before you fall under his wrath.

The ideals are exceptional but ... sadly the Americans too seldom have demonstrated those ideals in reality. They seem fearful of reaching for those ideals. Oh, sorry ... I am one of them (hurriedly I point out I bear no responsibility for the result of the recent election).

Yeah sure, whatever, the more you speak, the further away from the truth you get, it’s the conundrum of the left’s convolutions of contradictions by way of being confused by propaganda media training of intolerance. So with that, enjoy your annoyance…

I let the occasional obvious typo go.

However, you have incurred my wrath for not knowing the difference between spelling and grammar.

Spelling is the correct sequence of letters to form a word.

Grammar is the rules for structuring phrases and sentences.

I'd give you a dunce cap, but I know you already have a tinfoil hat.

Appears @flexomike and I were correct.

Spelling, grammar same same in the context we were talking about.

You let the occasional obvious typo go.  Only to show favoritism for your leftists comrades

Why does your grammar police skills only come out for Trump supporters?

You won’t answer that so I’ll answer for you.

You’re a hypocrite along with being a fake and phony.

I have a special cap just for you.

I enjoyed visiting the US on my American employer's training courses in the '80's. I had an idea that I would like to live and work there. Ten years later, my aspirations were fulfilled and I really enjoyed it for about another ten years, making money, buying a home getting engaged but still traveling the world for my work. Then my new employer wanted me to "relocate" full-time and fly a desk from head office. That lasted less than six months and I quit. Admittedly, the salary cut was a factor (no more international travel bonuses or per diem and more taxes) but honestly, I was getting weary of the great American way of the commute to the dreary 9-to-5 and living for the weekends but also more weary of my fellow workers and peers that seemed happily trapped in that cycle. Okay, so maybe they were simply working hard for their bit of their American dream, be it a boat on the lake or a cabin in the country or putting the kids through college, but it all seemed a bit shallow and superficial and frankly unrewarding to me.

Great place to visit, with so many unique things to see and amazing things to do, but I wouldn't want to live there again. Now, with the extremely polarised political lay of the land, even with a home that I own there, I don't plan an visiting for a while.

Surprised you still have any Kleenex left over from the election results of Trump’s landslide.

Not to worry.  Your “election day “ is in 3 days.  Harris still has a chance.

I might be interested if I knew what you were talking about.

I'm thinking of copying Trump's grift, selling toilet paper to my fellow leftists with Trump's face printed on it. Send me a photo if you want your 15 minutes of fame.
