Yes both my home and hospital Iam seated in a firm chair, feet flat on floor and arm at heart height.

All readings are taken on an empty stomach and before any caffeine or alcohol is consumed.

I do not partake in heavy workouts.

My readings at home are basically the same as at hospital.... and yet GG reckons Iam posting bullsh!t.

Sometimes, some people like to criticize for the sake of criticising.

I have always been healthy but upped it a notch here.

I did cut sugar out of my diet around 2 months ago and may be reaping the rewards now.

I did cut sugar out of my diet - does that include fruits?

I have done a volte face on this.

When I lived in Pattaya many moons ago I went to bed at 6 am wasted and woke up as the sun set.

40 years on and now I am the same as the OP.  Up with the sun while wife feeds monks then short walk with dogs ( cool season only )

Your face must be old and weathered after all those years drinking

Do you have red veins in your nose?

Which, as you must realize, is....

Meaningless.

a. Two doctors' offices (means diddly-squat).

b. The ones at the hospital have not been tested, either.

So then, what are you trying to say?

Haha....no worries....

Mine agrees with the automated ones at the hospitals, 2 types, tested against, along with the mercury hand pump thingys, and tested against.

Runs on batteries, so I took it with me.  Along with high rating from those that test such things.

Geez, I thought I was non-trusting of all things 🙄

On that, wife asked me, more like stated ... "WTF, you bought 2 more meat thermometer, and an oven thermometer"

"Yes, to test against each other, to make sure they all agree, or how far off"   Surprisingly, they all agree, el' cheap to not so cheap.

I'm a .... "If I didn't see, it didn't happen" ... kind of guy, and thought you figured that out by now.

"Honey ... we need more tin foil"

You are absolutely right. BP changes very rapidly according to circumstances. Having said that, there are accepted 'rules' to observe, before taking your blood pressure, for a reliable reading.

For example, relax and be seated on a firm chair with your feet flat on the floor and your arm resting on a table so it's level with your heart. Not to measure right after a meal, consuming alcohol, or after a heavy workout. You should make sure you're resting and not feeling anxious or stressed.

Ensure you purchase a reliable BP meter that is clinically validated. By regularly monitoring your BP I think you can avoid sudden unpleasant surprises IMHO.

Speak to a medical professional, he/she will explain things to you very much better than what I have written here.

Measure Your Blood Pressure

I know the rules.

However, this is only for resting BP measurement, which is...probably...of limited value.

Probably best to take BP under real-world conditions.

For this, you will need a device that measures BP every few minutes of the day.

This way, one can create a true record of what is taking place over a 24 or 48-hour period.

I think those in-home devices, the electronic ones....are GARBAGE.

Just more GARBAGE to add to landfills for the economic wellbeing of society.

Anyway, why not just go have a stress test...today.....

Enjoy.

Temperature:

My house is 24 degrees, hospital feels about the same

Altitude:

House elavation is 12.4m Hospital elavation is 7.1m according to google earth.

Noise:

My house and hospital would be equal in regards to noise.... my house possibly slightly less.

Air Pollution:

I have not measure inside my house and I do not know the reading for the hospital.

Stressful Enviroments: I find both my house and the hospital to be equally calm enviroments.

Unfortunately, you neglected to provide the geographical coordinates of your house and hospital.

When doesn't matter, as I'm usually awake in <6 hrs after I fall asleep.   Usually some time around midnight, to before sunrise.  0500 this morning, myself & dog up for a P, then coffee.

Check BP before coffee, make sure I'm still alive and not in the other universe :coffee1:

Not a fan or Patts, and been over 10 yrs since there.   Last time over to Trat, this time, last year actually, we bypassed it completely.

Almost popped in, to visit the only thing there that would probably interest me, since the largest in the world ...

... 7-11  :cheesy:

Quick Google, and I think I'd try City Coffee Pattaya, coffee, sweets & food w/a view, away from the main.

I worked night shifts, horrendous!!

Killer. I worked 12 hour nights and days for a year, switching each week.... 12am to 12pm, then 12pm to 12am......that was no life at all.

I am unable to go to bed earlier than 5AM, or risk shirking my obligations, such as posting Topics on TV.

Then, I must wake up at 10AM, or risk getting "off-schedule".

It's a hard life I lead.

But, throughout Mankind's existence,  life has never been easy for us humans.

To me 4am up is perfect! 4 to 6 best wind to walk 6-9km on Jomtien beach and Phra Tamnak hill.

Now back to BangNa and no nice place to walk. Just ugly streets, no shade.

But she's worth it every sec 😉

Rama 9 park, or Non Bon water catchment area, are excellent for vwalking. 5 minutes by car or taxi from Centrall Bang Na
