Funny. Every time I go out to eat in Bangkok, it costs me 3k to 5k baht. When you have the money and enjoy fine dining & 5-star companionship, that's not too bad. LOL

Johnny , You come across as a person who likes to brag

My dad has more muscles than your dad !!!

No one cares

That food at your link looks good.   I forget where you wrote that you were.  Is it Chiang Mai where those restaurants are, that served the food in the pictures?

Roadside vendor just north of Prachuap Khiri Khan city.    First time there and a nice surprise.  Definitely pop back in, as both dishes I had, beef noodles & Yum were tasty.

Thank you sir.   It looks like my restaurant hunt continues.

Most of the western or near western food that I buy is usually in the shopping malls of Bangkok.   Usually not cheap either.   I did find one in a mall called "The Mall" that has really good food (I think they claim organic) that isn't overly expensive.  They even grow some of their own vegetables hydroponically.  My wife was in Thailand in October and was taunting me with pictures when she ate there!!

Thai food is not comparable like in the West. Thai food in the west actually tastes like something. In Thailand it tastes like slop.

It sounds like you don't like Thai food. Restaurants in the West that purport toarly always serve more sushi, Chinese, or some other non-Thai cuisine because many Westerners don't like the strong tastes and flavors that are typical of Thai food. Thai restaurants in medium and small cities have IME always served more non-Thai Asian food. It's harder to source the better-quality recip be Thai will nee items in the West.

Maybe you are someone that prefers their 'Sunday Roast' or a 'Proper Breakfast'??

If passing through the area, that one linked is convenient either direction, as u-turns aren't to far away.   Good if not wanting to leave the main road (#4).   Surfside is close enough if wanting to chill there.   But if in a hurry ... plenty of roadside places that serve decent food, and no rip off prices.

Further south, there's P2N Restaurant, and they seem to own or lease most of the Bangchak plaza, which does have PEA CS.  Food is decent and reasonably priced.

Just off Hwy #4, a favorite of ours, 'Ban Jib @ Ban Krut', and partial to the Chicken Green Curry w/Roti (a bit spicy).  Lovely setting behind the cafe part, which they move forward for some reason.  If not venturing further, you'd miss all those photo opts :coffee1:

Even further south, near PKK & Chumphon border, 'Garage Cafe Chumphon' has reasonably priced tasty food also.  Along with being a Tesla charging station.

Thank you.  I will be in Thailand in February until March next year, but I don't think I will be that way.
