The Daily Mail ran an article (online) that was broadly sympathetic.  The comments were almost all very unsympathetic!  I can't see anything positive happening unless public opinion changes.

I think the uk general public are hugely jealous,  of people that have moved out of the uk. 

Don't think they would ever be on our side.

Because they have to stay and put up with the great governments present and past and lovely weather.

Maybe the answer is to have an address in Philippines, even 180+ days may be beneficial

Strange that cost is a barrier to paying all pensioners , who paid NI contibutions  equally when it is not a barrier to pi**ing tax payers money up the wall housing asylum seekers in hotels.

Indeed, and considering the UK's supposed position in Europe, our state pension is rather weak...

Are there no companies in the Philipines that can give you an address there similar to Ghostmail in the UK?
