Interesting that all this hullabaloo is taking place just as she tries to push through an amnesty bill that.....by pure coincidence ......will allow Yingluck to return to Thailand.

She will be finished quickly... "Good afternoon everybody.. we had a partly hand out, we have our father back in the country and I have managed to hold the raise of the VAT , and unfortunately there were floodings this year although we promised there would not be any... Thank you for your attention".....

What else has she managed?

Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra is set to deliver a significant public address tomorrow, December 10, where she will highlight her Cabinet’s accomplishments over the past three months and underscore the importance of the government’s key policies for the upcoming year

Should be enlightening...

... Empowering... I bet rather than that, the suppression of people will continue at the cost of empowering the few

The other English language newspaper suggests she will speak on Thursday.............."Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra is due to make a major public address on Thursday"

In other news, in a dramatic U-turn, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra pulled the plug on a proposal to crank up the value-added tax (VAT) following a storm of public outrage. The PM took to X (formerly Twitter) today, December 6, decisively posting: “No VAT adjustment to 15%.”

Nope - they'll raise it to 10%.

 "See - we didn't lie!"

My guess if they raise the VAT they'll have riots in the streets.

 "We going to cut taxes for the rich, raise the VAT to 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10% and screw you "little people."  Sucks to be you commoners!

Why don't they remove VAT from food and other essential items and raise the VAT on the remaining "non-essential/luxury items?

The poor will be better off and the rest won't notice it!
