Authorities in Nonthaburi are investigating the discovery of a woman’s body found floating in the Chao Phraya River near the Nonthaburi Bridge (Nuan Chawee Bridge) in Pak Kret District. Police and rescue workers from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation responded to the report, coordinating with forensic doctors to examine the scene.

The body was found entangled in water hyacinths near a boat. The deceased, estimated to be a woman aged 40-45, was wearing a white t-shirt and black leggings. Her body was floating face down and appeared to have been in the water for at least two days. There were no visible injuries or signs of assault, and no identification documents were found. The woman had short hair and was wearing a chest binder.

The body was retrieved and brought to Wat Chong Lom pier for further examination.

Investigators revealed that at approximately 03:00 on December 8, a fisherman reported seeing a body floating in the river near the Nonthaburi Bridge and even captured a photo. However, the body drifted away before it could be recovered. Authorities believe the body discovered today is the same one reported earlier.

Police have documented the scene and are working to identify the deceased. As of now, no relatives have come forward. Officers are reaching out to nearby police stations to check for missing persons reports that may match the description.

The body has been sent to the Institute of Forensic Science for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Police are urging anyone with information or missing relatives matching the description to contact local authorities.
