A crash claimed the life of a 23-year-old woman who lost control of her motorcycle and crashed into an electric pole, falling into a water ditch. The body was discovered around 06:00 on December 12, near a petrol station on Sukhumvit Road, Tambon Tapong, Mueang District, Rayong.

The victim, identified as Chonthicha, was a mother of two from Chanthaburi province, who worked long hours to support her children. She was employed as a sales representative during the day and worked as a beer promoter at a restaurant in the evening. Authorities responded to the scene after receiving a call from a local resident, 60-year-old Nimitt Khwandee, who discovered the body while out for a morning bike ride.

Upon arrival, police found a black PCX motorcycle submerged in water with significant damage to the front from crashing into a nearby electric pole. The woman’s body was discovered face down in the water with severe head injuries, believed to have been caused by the impact of the crash.

Initial investigations suggest that Chonthicha had been exhausted due to working both day and night shifts. Her friends revealed that she typically worked more than 12 hours every day, with minimal rest, often getting less than five hours of sleep. It is suspected that fatigue led to her losing control of the motorcycle while returning home after her evening shift.

The authorities have ruled the incident as accidental and are in the process of notifying the victim’s family. The body is being sent for a post-mortem examination at Rayong Hospital.

oh dear Georgealbert,  this is very sad news as the lady was only 22 yrs old.  And what of her kids,  what life will they endure now minus a mother to guide them.

Will they end up in a bar in Pattaya ... one can only guess.  If she had a falang husband he could have supported the kids.

RIP young lady.

you were a hard worker and sadly gone.

you won't be forgotten.

and the 2 kids are farmed out to grand parents 24/7 ?

And your point is?

Are you suggesting that she have just left the kids alone whilst she worked two shifts to earn enough money to hopefully bring the kids up properly?

RIP lady - you did your best.

Boy do you get you knickers in a twist - how do you know you do know she does not leave them alone As I asked (and hoped!) she has her grand parents look after them - as do many single young ladies if you don't know
