My go to in Hang Dong was closed and found a great burger fries at the Lazy Farang

Just wondering if anyone has heard if the owners of Le Bistrot de Chiang Mai have managed to find a new location yet, as the restaurant closed at the end of June?

F.Y.I. The Steak of the day restaurant, (well the one opposite where it used to be and owned by the same people), have updated their Lunchtime menu, offering a business style lunch, but cheaper than the main menu. The main menu is still available at lunch if you so wish, but the lunch time menu offers a bit better value.

Anyone who likes the American style Cinnabon rolls is in for a treat. I carried this hankering for cinnamon rolls around for a few days and then did some research. I found there is a place in Chiang Mai which specializes in Cinnamon rolls!

It is called "Sweettooth". Despite the name there is pulled pork with rice or noodles on the menu, which my three lady companions ordered. I ordered two eggs on sourdough and specified exactly that the fried eggs should be crispy but with soft yolk. When they arrived the two eggs were perfectly fried, crispy but soft yolk, garnished with little onions and peppers. Maybe the best fried eggs I had in Chiang Mai. The sourdough was a bit long in the tooth, but it was very late for breakfast so that's on me.

The absolute star of the show however, is the cinnamon rolls. This place does them much less stodgy and thick than Cinnabon, they are light and fluffy and come in a maple, vanilla, oreo or Biscoff topping. I opted for Vanilla, which was perfect. So delicious. It was even served with ice cream, though I didn't order it.

The place is the definition of tiny, about two tables, and there's no parking outside, but if you have a hankering for cinnamon rolls, this place is the option of choice in CM for me now. Good service too. If I recall correctly the cinnamon rolls are around 99 baht. I ended up paying 968 for four people, but only because we all ordered real food as well, ie pulled pork on rice/noodles (about 280), and fried eggs on sourdough (180).
