Introduction to Personal Income Tax in Thailand
It's been discussed numerous times and hasn't satisfactorily concluded. Post 31/12/23 income that is remitted to Thailand may never be regarded as savings. Income minus taxes and expenditure doesn't appear as a concept anywhere in Thai tax, as far as I can see. Perhaps it does for domestic income, on which Thai tax is paid, but remitted funds from overseas, I'm sceptical. I might elect to not declare post 12/23 savings but if TRD were to ask the source of those funds, would they buy that it wasn't income, especially if the rate of tax on the original income was higher here. Dunno, it's one of those known, unknowns. -

I have sugar problem
You have a choice, and maybe annoyed or provoked by my earlier post? But there where no harm intended l, just stating facts that most lifestyle diseases as in the name, are preventable if there is will to do it. Many don't and have to live with it, often masked up with medication who do not cure anything, just keeps things in check. Would I live like that? No, but I still enjoy good tasty food. Just not everyday, or not even many times a month, but when I do, it taste very good, also the feeling of deserving those cheat days, or holidays. Just ordered some to treat mysel during the Christmas, and been thinking about it days before I made the order, and many times a day, since I placed the order 😄 Just like a kid waiting for Christmas. -

K bank E-mail with Tax Forms attached ?
You might assume there's at least someone in the bank who knows every detail of this. But that person doesn't provide any details about it and leaves everyone in the dark. The other day I saw some Q/A about this case, and all I got from it were very good Q's, but all the A's came down to: Just fill it in. Without any other information provided. If there's one thing I've learned in Thailand after 10 years it's: Do I really have to do it? Yes. Is it necessary? No. Should I do it? Up to you. Will it bring me trouble? Not really, maybe yes, maybe no.
