An incident unfolded in Khlong Sam, Khlong Luang district, when a 44-year- old woman was fatally shot by her partner of over a decade in their shared residence. The suspect, a 33-year-old woman, fled the scene on a motorcycle following the incident.

 

Police from Khlong Luang Station, led by Pol. Lt. Col. Yosawat Nittiratpattanakhun, was alerted to the shooting at a local shop around 07:30 on December 21. Upon arrival, officers found the body of Ms. Khwandao outside the residence, after neighbours and rescue workers removed her from inside the home.

 

The suspect, Ms.Charoenwattana had been in a relationship with the victim for over 10 years. According to an employee of the shop, the victim and the suspect had been speaking normally the previous evening, showing no signs of conflict.

 

The employee recounted that she returned to the shop at 06:20 to prepare for the victim's planned trip out of town. While carrying out her morning duties, she heard two gunshots but initially thought little of it. It was only when neighbours noticed the victim's car still running outside and went to check that they discovered her lifeless body near the staircase inside the house.

 

Police investigations revealed that the couple had frequent arguments, though the nature of their disputes was unclear. The suspect, who suffers from depression, is believed to have used a firearm to commit the act before fleeing on a motorcycle.

 

Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage to track her escape route and bring her in for questioning. Neighbours and witnesses expressed shock over the incident, describing the couple as generally close despite occasional disagreements.

 

On the evening of December 21, police officers were able to track down and arrest Ms. Charoenwattana while she was traveling with her sister to the Khon Kaen Bus Terminal. Officers brought her back to Khlong Luang Police Station, Pathum Thani Province, for questioning and legal proceedings.
