Do you always respond so badly to criticism? Or is it only the anonymous forum thing?

Apologies if I overreacted to your comments. Just did not appear based on facts to me.

But hey, I remember your name NanLaew, (long time already), and I do not remember thinking anything bad about your numerous posts.

And perhaps, not shielded by anonymity, we could get along fine.

Regards

Are the police the same as UK police and not trained in restraint?

Try that in Sydney Australia  and unfortunately and I do say unfortunately they would of used their chokehold procedures ( which should be banned) to put him on the ground

What were they going to do if he walked away like he was doing ?

Lack of training ?

they should have a pole with a snare on it and drag him to the ground by his neck   1-2-3 done !

stop with all the soy boy hands off approach

Yeah, because these very petty incidents from tourists/migrants is that big of a deal.. Just to put things into perspective, this week a Guatemalan illegal migrant set someone on fire on the NYC subway. A couple of weeks ago a Chinese migrant in Australia stabbed a toddler. These are the kind of incidents that need to be reported on, at least for those of us with a fully functioning brain and good sense of morality. Or those of us who aren't stuck in our Thai condo coffins or mummies' basement in the West.

Although perhaps a 'Pattaya News' Forum and a topic about some crazy traffic stop ticket eater is not the place to put them?

I don't see petty incidents as news. Are ridiculously minor incidents like this given any coverage in your home country? It would be silly to waste time reporting on such incidents even in low crime cities within low crime countries such as Japan, Norway etc, but in Pattaya, Thailand? Come on.

You never know what news item might get scraped and repeated in another region. Particularly if the victim or perpetrator hails from there.

Pattaya in reality, remains a small town.

My point was reporting on petty incidents in the most well behaved areas is either pointless or pathetic, depending on how one views it, but in a town/small city such as Pattaya that has a lot of crime, and a lot of serious violent crime at that, it's questionable and imo just targeting certain demographics, on this site mostly those who are European.

Admittedly it's not just the site. There are a lot of grumpy old men who live in tourist ghettos who spend 23.5 hours a day in their condo who like commenting on other tourists/expats out of misguided frustration and spoilt brat non-White incels in Western countries who like to comment on a French guy farting loudly on a train article, whilst the local population are putting bullets in people's heads and dragging their girlfriends down the road from their motorbikes.

Calm down, you are ranting off at a tangent, The topic is about some entitled prxck showing arrogance and disrespecting the authorities and laws of a country he is a guest in. Thai media likes to pick up on such incidents.

It's the difference between a buck broken double digit IQ person and someone with decent levels of critical thinking in the three digit IQ range. I don't just read something and accept it. Pattaya is green lighted by 'le authorities' to be a giant place of ill refute. If the authorities made a move where they are cracking down on degenerate behaviour of all sorts (I wish they would do more so in Thailand) then I could understand reporting on everything and getting the place squeaky clean. But that's a fantasy tale. Since the first time I ame to Thailand 20 years ago Pattaya has been degenerate. Some tourist eating a traffic ticket should be filed under the category of 'extremely petty incident' and that's about as far as it goes. It's exactly why next year I am heading permanently into the sticks. The grid is full of cretins who aren't even aware of their own consciousness at this point. The coof has exacerbated this furthermore.

A pal of mine just moved to the crowded conditions of Bangkok for more intellectual stimulus and variety of entertainment, and to get away from the rather confusing low brow stuff we get in Pattaya. I am not sure the sticks offers much in that respect..... make your own I suppose.
