When extending a visa-exempt stay in Thailand to visit your Thai spouse, you should use the TM.7 form. This form is officially titled “Application for Extension of Temporary Stay in the Kingdom” and is required for such extensions.

Key Points:

• Form TM.7: This is the standard application form for extending a temporary stay in Thailand.

• Supporting Documents: Along with the TM.7 form, you’ll need to provide:

• Your passport or travel documents.

• Proof of your marriage to a Thai national, such as a marriage certificate.

• Any additional documents as specified by the local immigration office.

• Application Process: Submit the completed TM.7 form and supporting documents to the immigration office in the area where you reside.

• Extension Period: Typically, extensions granted for visiting a Thai spouse can be up to 60 days.

• Fee: The processing fee for the extension is 1,900 Thai Baht.

For detailed information and to download the TM.7 form, you can visit the Samut Prakan Immigration Office’s official website.

It’s advisable to contact the local immigration office directly or consult their official website for the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding the extension process and required documentation.

TM7.

So you are applying for 30 day extension to the visa exempt entry OR 60 day extension to visa wife.

Both use TM7

The TM47 is used for 90 day reports

OK, thanks..

Extend VE 60 day entry by 60 days to visit wife,  (Ubon town office will not on a VE, only give 30 days), so I am going to another office in the Ubon area that I have been told on here does extend 60 days to visit wife via an VE entry.........🤗

Surprised Ubon office will not provide 60 day extension to visit wife from visa exempt entry.

Here is a cut/paste from ubonjoe..

"You can apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife.

It does not matter what visa you used for entry. It can even be applied for to extend a visa exempt entry"

Yes, my friend Joe told me all that many moons ago, I have 'talked' at length with the Ubon town office personnel, they would not budge, 30 days....They told me to do a border run next time to get 60 days...🙄

I will report back here as to how I get on at their other Ubon office.....☺️
