To start with, no hostage has been released yet.

There are ongoing negotiations involving Hamas, the Israeli government and the U.S. government. Trump is not at all part of these negotiations.

Hopefully, it will succeed!

When did these negotiations begin ?

I tagged you in a post a few hours ago .

Don't tell me that you cannot find that !!!!!

I have a feeling that you are now just winding me up

"Hamas stated how many hostages they are holding and what their condition is and Hamas also state they will find out where all the other hostages are and what their condition is . Hamas released that info just after Trump made his threat

That is the first step in resolving the issue and the hostages being freed"

So none have been released?

Not quite, it all stalled after Hamas refused to negotiate and then Biden told them to leave Qatar.

The talks only really kicked off again in Dec.

Trump aides asked Qatar to recall ousted Hamas chiefs in bid to revive hostage talks
Sources tell ToI that after Biden requested terror leaders’ expulsion, president-elect’s team urged reversal of move, deeming Doha’s mediation critical to get a deal before Jan. 20

Qatar says it is engaging with Trump team on Gaza ceasefire

- Qatar is engaging with the incoming Trump administration on Gaza after sensing fresh momentum for ceasefire talks following the U.S. election, Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said on Saturday.

   Not yet , no .

They were told to release the hostages BEFORE Trump took the White house seat , which is in a few weeks time .

Well let's hope so.....the hell they've been through doesn't bear thinking about......

....Which clashes, somewhat, with someone else's post...... that the kids in Gaza (paraphrasing) are not innocents.....sad.

Maybe a good idea to go to that thread and reply to them there ?

I try to avoid talking about kids with pro Palestinians .

I felt, on balance, that it was such a sensitive issue I wouldn't engage.

That would depend on how old those children were really and what their roles were, we know that quite a few of those so called children were released in the last prisoner and hostage swap back in November last year. Here is an example of Hamas children in a child terrorist training camp in Gaza.

Nonsense

He is not an extreme Islamist - in fact, if you believe his social media posts and broadcast interviews, he appears to be have abandoned the faith and to have turned into an outspoken critic of Islam.

Jeez , you really think that someone critical of Islam decided to kill people t a christian market ? This is how these people work and infiltrate, you really think that all these people claiming asylum for being a christian from muslim countries really are christian ? Still at least you still believe in Santa and the Easter bunny

You need to read some history! Ask yourself why Russians are never taken hostage in the middle east? You will find its because of their response years ago. It involved going after the terrorists male family members and I believe removal of a body part! Their hostages were immediately released. Over millennium it has been shown the only way to deal with terrorists is with terror.

and make it fast and furious !

Apparently, it may break down again.

As the negotiation process, it appears that both outgoing and incoming admistrations are collaborating on this issue, as they have the same objective.

Hamas up to their old tricks..............this time from Sinwars brother.

Hamas refusing to hand over list of hostages to free in deal

Recent optimism surrounding the hostage negotiations between Israel and Hamas has given way to mounting frustration as Israeli officials reveal significant obstacles in their dealings with the terrorist group—specifically, Mohammed Sinwar.

Sources close to the talks paint a picture of deliberate obstruction, describing how slain Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar’s brother has consistently misled mediators over weeks, stonewalling requests for hostage lists and withdrawing from previously reached agreements. Security and political officials have expressed deep concern over Sinwar’s handling of the negotiations.

Two critical roadblocks persist: Hamas’s continued refusal to provide a list of hostages for initial release, and disagreements over the Palestinian prisoner exchange ratio and deportation terms.

Could you ever imagine the reverse happening?

In any case, it makes sense as the next administration may need to go on negotiating (in case this round fails), or will supervise the implementation if they achieve a deal is reached before the inauguration.

It is going to drop straight into his lap, Jan 20, and 'they' will just lap it up....regardless.....whatever is needed to release them is the most important aspect.

Trump hasn't been involved with any negotiations or talks .

Biden asked Trump to help him get the hostages released

Trump has given Hamas an ultimation .

"Release the hostages before he gets into power , or they will pay the price"

What's going to drop in his lap? Hamas broke the last hostage and ceasefire deal in Nov last year, its not going to be easy, hence if the negotiations fail then refer to the headlines

What if Trump decided to take credit for the hostages release ?

How would you describe a person who takes credit for others peoples work and effort ?

All Joes hard work getting the hostages released and Trump takes all the credit

How would you describe such a person ?

I am subtly referencing Biden and his supporters and getting ready for when they take credit for getting the hostages released .

Trump will have made it happen , yet the Biden gang are going to take all the credit for it happening

Oh I see.

I'd be happy if Putin took the credit (or even Boris Johnson......no, maybe not him) if it resulted in their release.

Who cares who gets the credit if any?

What is important is that they get released ASAP!

Some posters were congratulating  Joes for his success in getting the hostages freed and it was just a coincidence they were released ( I know that they haven't actually been released yet ) just after Trumps hostile message
