Why some of us did not get COVID symptoms …even though we were exposed.
"Why in the world would we still be talking about Covid?" "You must read between the lines." -

Why some of us did not get COVID symptoms …even though we were exposed.
Yep I posted pictures of those terminally ill in hospitals years ago on this very forum to make a point. 95% were in very poor physical health. Possibly the hospitals had daily all you can eat buffets. -

Covid didn't shred economies and overwhelm health systems. The reaction to Covid did that. And you don't think that it's at all suspicious that there was so little flu that year that they didn't even bother to report the numbers? In a typical year in the USA, there are 30 million flu cases. In 2020/21, there weren't enough to even count them? https://www.cdc.gov/flu-burden/php/about/index.html -

Oz $ losing so much value to the Baht
So true, but Australia also has another BIG problem. The "hand up" has turned into a "hand out" over the years, with many now on welfare as a lifestyle choice. The welfare bill got bigger from today with more hand outs. https://www.9news.com.au/national/january-1-2025-changes-australia-centrelink-criminal-underpayment-passport-fees/8e58678a-4455-43c9-9ccc-6c2033d19d97 Problem is, the people on welfare get to vote, and now outnumber the workers, so it will just keep going in the same direction with Australia's welfare bill getting bigger and bigger. Thus, you can expect the AUD to continue to have downward pressure. It's difficult for a country to increase productivity when their government gives people money to stay home and play the X-Box. -

Biden’s Presidency he'll “leave office in disgrace.” by CNN Commentator
Carter's administration was a disgrace, not the man. I think all agree on that. There is nothing redeeming about Biden. Personally or politically. -

Desperate Russians using wooden logs for protection
US forces did it in WW2 with their Sherman tanks. Likewise here when the Army took back Lumpini they had wooden pallets on their Armoured Personell carriers. They do it in the mistaken hope of providing enough standoff so that if a hollow charge warhead hits the jet of molten metal it produces will have its energy sufficiently dissipated by the wood that it won't penetrate the armour.
