Yagoda Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Not bad, but mostly motorcycles. Need two busses with sleepy drivers to really pad the stats. 1 1
Woke to Sounds Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Mr Elon can solve this with self driving cars on Thailand's roads. It can't come quick enough. Also - driver definitely should not smoke pot and drive.

And if we extend the thought🤔, who owns and controls both the car industry and private hospitals here, could it be someone with a leg related to the go....nt! To stop the carnage would mean less income then, much less. Well, at least it's not Somchai on his way to the New Year celebration in Nakhon Nowhere. Felt

Will B Good Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Drove eleven straight hours, 8pm to 7am, last night. Bkk to Nong Bua Daeng.......sounds exhausting, but from Saraburi to the M6 I could relax as my average speed must have been to 10mph.....never travelling on a Thai holiday again (said that a few times)....even at that speed the driving was atrocious....but not dangerous.

Make people pay for not wearing helmets, you save lives. Same for driving under age, without licenses, 3-5 on scooters, unsafe overloaded trucks, speeding and of course drinking then driving. 1 1

I would just like to see them drive according to Thai law, they drive like laws don't exist. They drive perpendicular to traffic, against traffic, split lanes on solid lines before-and-in intersections, blow red lights, overtake in Zebra crossings, undertake left turning vehicles with their turn signals on, overtake when cars are making a right turn into a road, drive through Zebra crossings (or use them for U-Turning), the list goes on, and on, and on. They seem to have no idea what their countries laws and driving rules are, it would be like handing out licenses to 10 yr olds, Thai's seem to be so ignorant it boggles the mind. 1

I have that here in Siem Reap in the 1km between my crib and the grocery store. You ought to see the highways. Add cattle to the mix. 1
