At least 176 people have been confirmed dead after a Jeju Air passenger jet carrying 181 people crash-landed and exploded at Muan International Airport in South Korea. The tragic accident, which occurred on Sunday morning, is one of the deadliest aviation disasters in the country’s history. 3 persons are still listed as missing.

A  fire at The Amber Hotel on Tani Road, near Bangkok’s popular Khao San Road, has claimed three lives and left several others injured. The incident has prompted Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt to order the temporary closure of the hotel to ensure the building meets safety standards.

Two Thai Victims of Korean Air Crash Identified & Mourned

Tragedy struck when a Jeju Air flight skidded off the runway and exploded at Muan International Airport in South Korea’s southwest, leaving the all 175 passengers dead. Among them were two Thai nationals: Ms. Jonglak Duangmanee, 45, from Udon Thani, and Ms. Sirithorn, 22, from Chiang Rai.

Young man arrested in Bangkok with modified gun after police chase

A young man found himself in hot water after leading police on a chase, ultimately being apprehended with a firearm in his possession. The incident occurred today, December 30, when officers from Bang Khen Police Station, led by Anan Warasart, apprehended 20 year old Tawan in the Ram Inthra 5 area of Bangkok. Tawan was found with a modified blank gun and .380 calibre ammunition, resulting in charges of illegal possession and carrying of a firearm.

Thailand's EXPRESSWAY Authority to Enforce Tougher Penalties on Unpaid Tolls

Starting January 1, 2025, Thailand's Expressway Authority (EXAT) will impose stricter penalties for unpaid tolls. If a driver doesn't pay a toll, they could face fines up to ten times the toll fee, capped at 2,000 baht per event.
