You all must have boring lives to be lining up pushing jostling with crowds to watch coloured lights sparkle in the sky

I just had my nephew call me wanting to use my balcony here in Sydney to watch the fireworks

I told him to get a life before hanging up .

I will be in bed asleep or on ASEAN forum not fighting others for position to watch childish rubbish

Please surely you have other things in life

Does fireworks excite you ?

Some of you go berserk over it ,even pushing your old mother through crowds in a wheelchair to force her to watch it

Enough to jostle with drunks smelly breath in Pattaya just to watch it and then complain later you couldn't get transport home !!!

Oh get a life

Yes,  when 16 years old it was fun.

No way now Pattaya is a total loud stupid zoo of music and people I left to the quiet north won't be back till the 6th.

Yes jostling pushing shoving shouting fighting  ,drunk , alcohol , fights , not only in Pattaya but all around the world

Not only that but can you believe people are lining up now a good 12 hours before the fireworks to get the best position to watch them.

I would rather be in a Go Go bar and even that I dread ,but please , stop taking your relatives who are elderly and disabled to jostle and push in with crowds

Just got back from a morning walk along the "beach" at Pattaya. Nearly the whole length of the beach road pavement is setup with food vendor stands. A huge area near klang is setup with stage and stand seating for VIPs. No thanks! We won't be going anywhere near beach road tonight. It'll be total chaos. After a nice dinner for twelve of our group, we will still see the fireworks from another uncrowded point not far away.

At 73, I still enjoy fireworks.  But, I don't enjoy the hassle of getting there to see them and then fighting the crowds coming home afterwards.   As I said in another thread, spouse and I were spoiled when we lived at Northshore condo and we could just ride the elevator down to the 6th floor and watch fireworks events from a great vantage point on the pool deck.   Now on the Darkside, we will be avoiding the Pattaya fireworks this year and will be spending New Years with family visiting.

They may like it most! Once a year - why not?

It's the new comers who want to change everything "like back home"...

Pattaya is know for party 24/7/360. Stay away if can't handle it.

I love fireworks.

We have a New Year's party and BBQ up on the roof every year. We can watch the main display in Hat Yai, without the crowds, as well as enjoy all the fireworks from around the city, and add a few of our own.
