4M baht taxable?
Yes, that's better, that would constitute an overseas or offshore transfer or gift which would remove the gifter from the tax equation. I can't be certain however about the fact the gifter was both Thai tax resident and physically resident in Thailand when the gift was made or whether that affects things. For it to be certain and squeaky clean, the gifter would make the gift whilst overseas. -

Thai Banks and Mobile Operators to Bear Costs of Phone Scam Damages
Do you still understand, I don't, because of security, internet banking (only in Thailand) was no longer allowed and was only possible by phone. Meanwhile, we are almost 2 years on, and what turns out....scam damages by phone. I preferred internet banking then but also now, but I suspect there is more behind it, could it have something to do with controlle. -

Revenue Department boss calls on tax residents in Thailand to file 2024 returns by March 31
I'm not sure I am getting your point. But the principle of, what happened in the past might not happen in the future, also applies. The end result will be the same, only taxable in X Country, but that makes no difference to complying with a Countries ( In this case Thailand ) domestic tax law as a tax resident of Thailand. -

Revenue Department boss calls on tax residents in Thailand to file 2024 returns by March 31
Very interesting indeed and was wondering about this as well and yes I do not know about everyone else I paid too much income tax to the UK for the year ended 5th April 2024 and in fact got a small refund in Sterling. BTW again I reiterate as of Tuesday 7th January I went around again to the local Revenue office to enquire about the forms 90 and 91 and the Exemption/ Allowances one and stated what form and yet again stated as many times before with my circumstances I do not have to fill in any forms. As mentioned Carl Turner of the expats tax so-called tax expert and on his latest video stating yes we are classified as a tax resident if we stay over 180 days then we must fill in a tax form but on the very next page stating if your income is below the current threshold then you do not need to file. In any case there are still no forms and none on the revenue sites and possibly in Thai but none of us can find any forms anyway. This whole process has not been well thought out at all to say the least and too many tax experts all stating different things just like all the Revenue offices!!!! -

January 6, 2021 -- a day that will live in infamy
Again you make a serious point worth consideration. I do think both dates are very historically significant but I can't rate the importance of one vs. the other. Consider this. If Trump had lost in 2000, conceded the loss, and participated in the normal peaceful transfer of power, without the leadup and events of January 6th, his reelection to a second term would be notable as great political comeback for sure, but nothing like the severity of his significantly successful washing away of January 6th. -
