Teen Cuts Off Stepfather's Arm in Shocking Attack in Prachuap Khiri Khan

An 18-year- old boy has been arrested after attacking his mother's ex- husband on January 6, with a machete, severing his arm in a fit of rage. The incident, captured on video, occurred in the Prachuap Siri area of Prachuap Khiri Khan municipality, leaving the 54-year-old victim critically injured.

 

The violent altercation reportedly began as an argument outside a grocery store, where the teenager confronted the man for insulting his biological father. Witnesses described seeing the young man wielding a machete, striking the victim's left arm with such force that it was severed and fell onto the road. Despite his injury, the victim attempted to fight back with one arm before collapsing in front of the shop.

 

Emergency services were alerted by horrified bystanders, and police from Prachuap Khiri Khan Police Station rushed to the scene. Rescue workers provided first aid before transporting the victim, who suffered a severed arm, a torn ear, and deep wounds to his head, neck, and shoulder, to Prachuap Hospital.

 

Mrs. Lek, the owner of the grocery store, said she initially heard the two men arguing loudly from across the street. By the time she returned to the front of her shop, she saw the victim staggering, bleeding profusely, before collapsing on the premises. She quickly called emergency services but was left in shock by the incident.

 

The teenager's mother, who runs a nearby grilled pork restaurant, later confirmed that her son was the attacker. She explained that the victim, her former husband, had been drinking alcohol with a friend outside her shop earlier that morning. The teenager, resting upstairs, became enraged after hearing the man loudly insult his biological father. In a moment of fury, he grabbed a machete used for cutting pineapples and attacked the man.

After the incident, the teenager apologised to his mother, saying, "Mum, I'm sorry," before recounting the events. He then rode a motorbike with his mother to the police station, where he surrendered himself and handed over the weapon.

 

Footage of the incident has since gone viral, showing the victim attempting to retaliate after losing his arm before collapsing on the road.

 

The police have detained the suspect. The Commander of Region 7, Pol Lt Gen Naiwat Padermchit, stated that the investigation is ongoing as the authorities work to piece together the full details of the case.

 

Doctors have indicated that the victim's severed arm may be difficult to reattach due to the severity of the injury.
