You're entitled to your opinion, for what it is worth.

If the topics of Trump and COVID did not exist, I am sure I could find others.

As far as oxygen goes, my lung capacity is 5.5 litres. Smokers are usually 3 litres.

The problem is many simply follow the experts almost blindly and are appalled if you question "their" experts.  I definitely listen to "my" experts but am open to new ideas and this surely applies to health issues.  Looking at how dismally unhealthy society is and how medicated it is at the same time should raise some questions.

Docs are great when you break something or an organ has issues.  I have found them almost useless for most of my medical issues I have had the last few decades.

I would not be posting here without several medical interventions. That's all I can say.

Sorry, I don't understand.  You had several medical interventions?

BCG immunotherapy for bladder cancer, 19 years ago. Targeted inhibitors of obinuzamatab and venclexta for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia two and a half years ago. All three cancers in full remission.

Surgery, let's see:

Appendicectomy

Right knee arthroscopy

Double carpal tunnel surgery

Most recent, inguinal hernia corrective surgery one year ago.

Perhaps I was not clear. I would not be alive now without modern pharmaceuticals.

Is it any wonder I have utmost respect for the medical profession?

Good to see you beat bladder cancer. My mom passed from it awhile back because the doctors waited too long to remove her bladder, and then it spread.

Thank you. As with most cancers, early detection and treatment significantly enhances survival chances.

Cancer killed my father because he was terrified of doctors. By the time he went to one with his symptoms, it was too late.

Message to everyone reading this thread. DON'T ignore symptoms in the hope they will go away.

My dad also passed, at 79, from lung cancer. He smoked 3 packs a day for 60 plus years so he did it to himself. I've been trying to do whatever I can to stay healthy and hope genetics isn't too involved in my case. My mom passed at 84 and never smoked, as it's a big reason one gets it, so who knows.

Statistics say a smoker is 20 times more likely to die of lung cancer than a non-smoker.

The stats also say a smoker who quits will come back to the same level of risk as a non-smoker, 10 years after quitting.

Perspective creates reality?  I think I remember you being around 75 but seems you have many more serious medical issues than most.  If I survived your issues, I'm sure I would have a different opinion in regards to the medical profession. Happy for you!

I've always been healthy, minus a few terrible accidents, and have found most my doctor visits worthless.  Someday it is highly probable that a doctor will extend my life or ease the pain at the end.  I do respect the profession but rely on my own diagnosis much more than a doctor.

81 yo.

It's possible to use blood tests as a health monitor without a doctor in Thailand, and I do think doctors here tend to over-prescribe medications. If it's not measured, it can't be controlled.

There is also the risk of misdiagnosis. I have been diagnosed several times with high blood pressure, when the fact is I have severe white coat syndrome. Any time I am near a hospital or clinic, my systole spikes by 50 mm Hg.

Having said that, ignore persistent pain or blood in urine, feces or sputum at your peril.

In my case I ignore posters that insult me or others constantly, and there are a lot that I don't see now.

It's not a question of only posters I agree with, as there are loads of differing opinion posters that don't think insults are a valid option.

If a poster can't post without insulting other posters, then I'm not interested in what they have to say anyway.

Insults. Try being a Trump supporter. Want me to set forth the list, on a Board where one is supposed to be civil?  There are simply tons of people here who would get punched out in real life.

But aren't you one of the worst offenders? Anyone who doesn't agree with you is called a 'leftie' or a 'socialist'. Weird that you think that it's other people insulting you. It's you who is the rude one.

So you agree that being called a Leftist or Socialist is on par with:

Scumbags

Morons

Cultists

Fithy

Dishonourable

Racists

Nazis

Dangerous

Hitlers

Insurrectionists

Treasonists

Stupid

Brainwashed

Haters

Zionist lovers

Cannibals

Deplorables

Bitter old coffin dodgers

Liars

White supremacists

Fools

Idiots

I'll take it, Im starting to reach people.

How about gay, you all throw allegations of homosexuality around

How about them? I didn't use any of those terms when you attacked me. The fact is that you appear completely obsessed, seeming only to see life in a totally one-sided manner. Often ranting and abusive. This is from someone who isn't at all political nor wedded to any particular political philosophy.

I don't see people to the left or right. I see idiot or not an idiot.

So what's up? Is there a normal @Yagoda that isn't completely obsessed with left and right?

Have you considered that no one is looking at a dispute? No one here has called you any of those names, but you still choose to be argumentative. That's all you.

I do love the way you describe yourself, even if your punctuation leaves a lot to be desired!

I welcome different viewpoints and people who express their opinions and argue sensible. There are a couple of people in this forum who I disagree with almost in any post, but I still read them because sometimes it's interesting how they think.

And then there are some annoying people who just write the same garbage, and they don't know how to explain it or are too stupid to do that. If I read a couple of those posts, I put them on my ignore list. I wouldn't learn anything more by reading the same again and again. Just annoying.

Thats how i would describe you. Just annoying same garbage view every post
