A crash occurred on the evening of 8 January, when a pickup truck driver lost control and overturned, before striking a power pole near the Thai Nippon Company, heading towards Ban Nong Kwang Li in Don Thong Subdistrict, Mueang District, Phitsanulok Province. The crash left one man dead and two others injured.

The Phitsanulok Rescue Radio Centre, operated by the Prasat Boonsathan Foundation, received the emergency call at approximately 19:20. Rescue volunteers from the Don Thong unit, along with equipment and ambulances, were promptly dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, responders found a Mitsubishi pickup truck, registered in Chiang Rai, overturned and severely damaged. A power pole had been knocked over and was leaning precariously. Two injured individuals, a man and a woman, were quickly assisted by rescue workers and transported to the hospital for treatment.

Tragically, one person, the driver, was found deceased inside the vehicle. Rescue personnel used hydraulic cutting equipment to extract the body, later identified as Mr. Prasit, aged 38, a resident of Don Thong Subdistrict, Mueang District, Phitsanulok.

Police are currently investigating the cause of the crash and awaiting autopsy results to determine if alcohol or drugs played a part in the incident.
