Hamas Leader Declares October 7 Attacks a Source of Pride, Touts Ceasefire as a Victory

A senior Hamas leader, Khalil al-Hayya, proclaimed that Israel had failed to achieve its objectives in Gaza and described a recently announced ceasefire-hostage deal as a “historic moment.” Speaking to the German news agency DPA, al-Hayya stated, “Our people have thwarted the declared and hidden goals of the occupation. Today we prove that the occupation will never defeat our people and their resistance.”

 

In his remarks, al-Hayya praised the October 7, 2023, attacks that resulted in the deaths of approximately 1,200 Israelis, describing the events as a “military accomplishment” and “a source of pride for our people.” These attacks, characterized by widespread atrocities, were the deadliest massacre of Jews in a single day since the Holocaust. He further declared that the operation would be remembered as a defining moment to be celebrated by future generations of Palestinians.

Al-Hayya, who serves as the deputy chairman of Hamas’s political bureau and the group’s chief negotiator in ceasefire and hostage talks, reiterated Hamas’s commitment to the destruction of Israel. He described Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque as central to their mission, stating, “Our people will expel the occupation from our land and from Jerusalem at the earliest time possible.” He also asserted, “Our enemy will never see a moment of weakness from us.”

 

The leader extended his praise to Hamas’s allies, including Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthi rebels in Yemen, for their coordinated attacks on Israel. He emphasized the solidarity among groups aligned against Israel and underscored the continuing resistance movement.

Hamas remains in possession of two Israeli civilians who entered Gaza in 2014 and 2015, as well as the bodies of two Israeli soldiers killed in 2014.

 

Despite engaging in negotiations for the ceasefire, al-Hayya insisted that Hamas would not waver in its objectives and celebrated the ceasefire deal as an achievement that reflects their resolve.

They replaced their lost fighters with new recruits and have the sympathies of much more countries than before, besides Palestinians are seen as the bravest and most resilient people in the world fighting against one of the best trained and equipped (plus backed by the last super power) armies on the planet, with only a few AK 47 and some out of date rockets, while the global reputation of Israel is in free fall not to speak of their economy.

   Hamas  are now viewed as cowards who attack women and children and murder innocent people in horrendous ways and then hide in schools and hospitals when it comes to fighting against men .

   Inhumane group of people who don't deserve to live among humans .

War criminals , baby abductors , child killers .

If you call hiding in caves the bravest...just a washed up guerrilla force, who's own people of Gaza will no doubt be looking sideways and for the first chance to rid themselves of there tormentors who hid while they lost everything,  Hezbollah close to destroyed (and with in a week) with Lebanon looking to rid themselves of them, Iran made to look irrelevant, one of there last stunch supporters comes in with a new government, Syria, now leaning westwards and no longer interested in the Palestinian cause.

 

Egypt, Jordan, UEA and the Saudis are tired of it, no mate the Arabs are war weary, there loosing interest all over the middle east over Gaza, the charade is just that, handing out gift bags to hostages on realse while there latest military recruits dressed up nice and neat with face masks and head bands carry nice clean AK47's that might have fired at best a couple of shots in the last 13months all for show because the embarrassment of letting there own people die and left homeless is on Hamas and like anyone in denial its all about deflecting and show.

 

In comes President Trump who's basically telling the main Arab states clean up the mess get rid of Hamas or the US will push those Palestinians over the border and take over Gaza. Pretty smart actually, these Arabs where never going to resolve anything negotiating with the US and Israel, the pressure to resolve this never ending conflict needs to come from the Arab states in the region and it will because they are war weary.

Ironically enough, this is exactly why their fellow Arabs countries refuse to let any Palastinian refugees in... because they want Hamas contained in Gaza. If you look back through history, allowing Palatinians into your country is a really bad idea, look at Jordan and Lebanon, they did and it was a disaster for them... looking at Egypt too, completely refuses to let any of them in regardless of anything, and that should give a good lesson to all accepting or sympathizing with these nutjobs, even the Arabs don't want them because of the threat they pose. Learn the history.
