Man Falls to His Death from Building in Pathum Thani
Picture from responders. A woman in shock discovered her boyfriend had fallen to his death from a four-storey building in Pathum Thani after neighbours initially ignored a loud noise on the roof. Police Lieutenant Woranchai Sukying, Deputy Inspector of Investigation at Khlong Luang Police Station, was notified of the incident in Soi Khlong Luang 274 (Soi Khun Phra) in Khlong Nueng Subdistrict, Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani Province. Alongside investigators, forensic experts from Thammasat University Hospital, and rescue volunteers from Ruamkatanyu Foundation, he rushed to the scene. The incident occurred outside a four-storey apartment block. The victim, 42-year-old Mr. Kittiwat from Roi Et Province, was found lying face down on the road near the dormitory. Ms. Wanadee, 32, a resident of the building, reported hearing a noise resembling something falling on the roof of the first floor. Assuming it to be insignificant, she didn’t investigate until someone from below called to inform her that “Por,” the victim, had fallen. She rushed downstairs to find him dead. Another witness, Ms. Praipraisri, 31, identified herself as the victim’s girlfriend. She stated that they lived together in the building and revealed that he suffered from a heart condition. The victim worked the night shift, finishing at 06:00, but no signs of distress were apparent before his death. “He was usually cheerful and never mentioned any problems that worried him,” she added. Lieutenant Woranchai confirmed that authorities documented the scene and instructed the Ruamkatanyu Foundation to transport the body to Thammasat University Hospital for an autopsy. Woman Rescued from Attempting Bridge Jump After Row with Husband
Picture from responders. A distraught woman was saved on January 26, from jumping off a pedestrian bridge in Suwannaphum District after an emotional fallout with her husband left her in despair. The incident occurred at 17:00 on Arun Prasert Road near Suwannaphum Pittayapaisan School, . Roi Et. Pol. Lt. Chan Kongtham, Deputy Inspector of Suwannaphum Police Station, was alerted by a passerby who spotted a woman crying uncontrollably on the outside of the bridge railing. Rescue volunteers from the Hook 31 Foundation quickly joined the police at the scene. Upon arrival, officers found the woman, described as heavily built, gripping the outside railing of the bridge, sobbing heavily. Police and rescue personnel attempted to calm her down. While she was momentarily distracted, they managed to pull her to safety using a safety rope to secure her waist. The woman, identified as "Bee" , was too emotional to provide much details, only weeping during questioning. A local tuk-tuk driver, Mr. Chonlong, shed light on the situation. He revealed that Bee had been searching for her husband, a fellow tuk-tuk driver based at the Suwannaphum bus terminal. She had been looking for him since the previous day and discovered his vehicle parked at Suwannaphum Hospital earlier that day, but her husband was nowhere to be found. Mr. Chonlong added that Bee had argued with her husband prior to his disappearance, even physically assaulting him, leaving visible bruises. Frustrated and hurt, her husband reportedly left home, telling others he was traveling to Bangkok with his two children from a previous marriage. However, Bee was unaware of these plans, leading to two days of fruitless searching. It is believed that her despair stemmed from feelings of neglect and jealousy over her husband spending time with his children without informing her. Police escorted Bee to Suwannaphum Hospital for a medical check-up and counselling. Her family has been informed and will assist in taking her home. -- 2025-01-27
