Trump’s Executive Order on Gender Policy and Its Impact on DEI Programs

President Donald Trump has taken steps to reshape the U.S. government's stance on gender and diversity policies. During his inaugural address, he announced:

"As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female."

This declaration aligns with an executive order expected to be signed, which would officially recognize only two biological sexes, male and female, and assert that these designations are immutable.

The executive order represents a significant policy shift and is part of Trump's broader campaign against what he describes as "woke culture." Critics and supporters alike have voiced strong opinions on the move, particularly as it relates to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

What will this mean for the future of DEI programs in the U.S and indeed other parts of the world who are watching.?

Hopefully we hear less and less about dei and more about the actual qualifications and credibility of each person.

Fingers crossed it means a fade away into a misguided time in history.
