Hard to find harder soap for use in hard water than this:

This is the diamond soap.

Will always be hard enough to scratch glass.

And, will refract light, due to its higher density, just like a real diamond, while in the shower.

Cheap, too.....

I'm so fed up with hand soaps going soft and turning to mush in a couple of weeks.

Even though I use a drip tray and shake it regularly it still goes soft and squishy. Protex isn't too bad but not a great smell. Imperial Leather is a good aroma but tends to crack. Some of the more expensive brands smell great but turn to custard after a while. Maybe it's the humidity.

Any recommendations on something that will keep firm in the hand?

Use body wash for the shower, hand wash in the kitchen to cleanse your hands.  Better than a cake of soap. Also using body wash in the shower it’s a lot easier to clean your shower recess.

Lye soap made from "tallow"?

Also, why don't Thai people like to use wash cloths?

I'm constantly buying them and they disappear.

Wash cloths are great to clean your body except face.

Skin on the face is thin and delicate use only soft liquid and your hands.

Wash cloths work well to clean your ass, too.  Better than toilet paper and the bum gun.

Bottom of feet needs a brush and a scraper, LOL.

Different tools for different areas. 🛀

I use Asepso, it never gets soft.

One of the scents that always reminds me of my first visits to Thailand. Happy times.

Snake brand prickly heat powder is another. They brought out a shower gel version a few years back and now I don't use anything else.

I like Protex bar soap in the yellow, blue and white box.  Better scent, I think, and holds up pretty well in the shower.
