You certainly know more about tanks than about Russia.

M4A3 named “Cairo” of 4th Tank Battalion on Iwo Jima. Its track was blown off by a land mine and it sustained five hits from Japanese artillery, but the crew survived.

The photo has nothing to do with Russia, they were reversing for the track to be in front of the tank, and there is no evidence of 5 artillery hits on the tank ( perhaps the wood on the side stopped the shells penetrating the tank ).

Any more pointless attacks to make on me? :coffee1:

PS.

Given there was no caption on the photo as originally posted either you spent some time looking it up to make some pointless attack on me, or you and the poster that put it there are one and the same.

The captions about damage are not mine, see my link.  This very famous WW2 tank image is even used by WIKI's Tank Mobility Kill page. When a mine hits near the front drive sprocket the track unwinds this way.  WIKI also shows a WW2 German Tiger tank damaged the same way.  Look.

My point was beware claims without evidence in threads about Russia because of the huge volume of Russian disinformation flooding the world, especially since Putin started his war.  The point was not solely for you, but, well, I guess you hit the mine.😋

I never said they were yours. I said they were not on the original photo as posted. I don't read Wiki tank mobility page- what on earth makes you think I do?

So famous I never saw it, LOL.

As for claims without evidence, that would apply to any post that says Ukraine is winning, simply because they are not, ergo there is no proof of that.

Besides, the track probably broke for some other reason than enemy action, given the tankies are unconcerned about enemy fire, they were reversing at the time it fell off, and there is no evidence of damaged track running gear.

Next.

You miss the point or deliberately try and change the subject. The point, which you patently fail to cmprehend, or refuse to acknowledge because you are in reality a Russian stooge, is the Russpria,  a superpower you continuously express faith in and admiration of, is resorting to B&Q (Home Depot, if you really are an American, but I suspect you are not) to uparmour. I don't think nthat you are so stupid that you cannot comprehend, so I revert to the alternative, that you are a Champion for Russia and Putin an apologist for barabarism and fascism, in the same way that during the Cold War, Communists in the West went out of their way to defend the ills of the Soviet Union, and before them, the likes of Mosley, Joyce, Lindbergh and others defended the indefensible. You are part of a long line of apologists.

Of course, for a while, the US military was reduced to scouring scrap piles to up armour Humvees in Iraq, until a brave NCO in Kuwait stood up and took Rumsfeld to task over this. Back in the days when members of the US military were not simply sacked for not following the political ideology.

Prospects for a breakthrough in the deal between Washington and Kyiv are scant given the “antagonistic” atmosphere of the talks, a source told Reuters following last week’s meeting.

As part of Donald Trump’s sweeping new demands for US control over all of Ukraine’s mineral and energy assets, Washington has proposed that its International Development Finance Corporation should take control of a natural gas pipeline running from the town of Sudzha in western Russia to the Ukrainian city of Uzhhorod.

Senior economist Volodymyr Landa told The Guardian that Washington's bullying, “colonial-type” demands had little chance of being accepted by Kyiv.
