One night in Bangkok.....🎶

Why would you go home?.....especially to Essex.

Epping is lovely. Some of the best fights I ever had were in Epping!

Hope the guy is ok - well let's say balls deep in a "money pit" level of trouble not murdered or in hlopital level of trouble.

So if he wanted to disappear ... he sent selfies home?

give it a few days, he will be "found" in a hospital with severe life ending injuries sustained in a scoot accident.

The family will start a gofundme to pay the growing hospital bills to get him home for free treatment on the NHS.

Or maybe, body found floating in the river, cops say a suicide as they drag him out?

I think the only thing he will be floating in is soapy water with many good looking lifeguards around him

Did he meet up with the 'friend' has the friend been approached/come forward with any information?

I find it hard to accept that the wife/member of his family will not have details of the 'friend'

10 days without contact is a bit concerning.

Guy goes on holiday to Thailand with out his wife and kid. that says a lot.

Yes, his fine, will be with some bar lady for sure.

Maybe they were separated/living apart but kept in touch because of the son?

Now shacked up with a new love of his life, until funds run out

Absolutely especially on his sons birthday, what possible reason could someone want to go to Bangkok alone when they are married with a kid on their sons birthday, firstly I'm surprised his wife even let him, and even more that he wanted to go.

Abandoned Mansion Bar & Restaurant on is basically opposite Soi Cowboy that is where I would start, plenty of plod down there at night and enough CCTV I'd be surprised if they didn't get a hit.

Where did you get that he has a wife?

From their apparent relationship, she's just his Baby Mama.

There are always the same stupid replies every time. The fact that he failed to call his young son on his birthday and 10 days have passed, is very troubling.

Everybody is just assuming he got involved with some girl, but that would not explain him totally disappearing and completely losing contact with his family. It is more likely something far more sinister and far more serious took place. People disappearing is never a good thing, but when they aren't heard from for quite some time afterwards, that's a sign that something serious is going on or something serious has already taken place. Neither of which is a what any family wants to hear about their loved ones.

WTF the first sensible and compassionate reply I have read to today, everybody else too busy trying to be smart a##ess or stand-up comedians.

@Brave-Fart you haven't kidnapped him have you and trying to detract the authorities from yourself have you.  Not sure what the rules are on AN forums around speculation 🤣

Honest question...  Would the cops even try to find the guy if he's an adult and (obviously) hasn't authorized anyone to release his information?

If my family member went missing in Thailand, what should be my first phone call?  US Embassy, Thai cops, Thai Immigration?

Unless he is staying in a private residence (or that tragic scenario), they should be able to track him by TM30.  (Assuming he's still in Thailand).  But would they?  Would the British Consulate even get involved?  Would they be allowed to release his info?

I'd sure hate to rat the guy out and find out that the people looking for him are not who they claim to be.
