USAID - Dems in full delusional mode as usual

What beats me is why the basement dwellers and hand-to-mouth retirees get their knickers in a twist about Musk's purchase of Twitter. The guy could afford it.

Give it a couple of years and if turnover returns to $5 billion or so it will be worth far more than $44 billion.

Aye, very good - article from 2022. Here's the latest debt news - Morgan Stanley offloaded $5.5 billion at 97 cents, the offering was snatched up as investors know there's profit. Immediately started trading at 98/99 with a 6.5% return in 2029.

By the way, Musk is worth about $150 billion more than he was when he bought Twitter. Maybe just sit this one out.

Thank you for linking this  this  interesting article.

How does it contradict the fact that Twitter/X has to pay an annual interest of around $1.2 billion?

You are posting propaganda misinformation again.

The East-West Management Institute cited in the article is not an Open Society organization and has been funded by plenty of other organisations. (And BTW, it's activity was quite legit).

Consequences over President Donald Trump’s plot to dismantle the U.S. Agency for International Development are emerging as the agency’s stop-work order has left thousands of people with experimental drugs and medical devices inside of their bodies – and nowhere to turn.

Dozens of unfinished clinical trials around the world that relied on USAID funds have suddenly shut down, leaving patients abandoned and in a state of limbo as their access to researchers is abruptly withdrawn by Trump’s executive order freezing foreign aid grants for three months.

Play stupid games with taxpayers un authorized money while taking care of the world’s illnesses isn’t  my country priority anymore!

Let the rich globalist oligarchs who collected USA taxpayers revenue figure it out!Better yet tell the countries they live in to support it!USa is not a charity!

Alternatively - "Democrats funded experimental drug and implant procedures on poverty stricken people of colour."

That wasn't very nice of them.

By the way, USAID is not getting shuttered ( yet more fake news ). It's getting put through the wringer and held accountable for the money it spent. Staff cuts on the way too.

Congress had to shut down USAID, Thomas Massie has cosponsored a bill to do just that.

Reportedly the staff is being cut from more than 13000 foreign service officers to 290. So that's about at least a 97.7% cut. That's pretty much a virtual shuttering. A question is whether or not it's constitutional to fire so much staff that they cannot faithfully fulfill carry out the fulfillment of laws passed by Congress. Also, of course the Constitutional question of whether the Trump Administration can change the status of an agency created by Congress.

If they were coerced and the risks weren't explained. You got any evidence to support such a claim?
