Hard wood window replacement options (Pattaya/Sattahip area's)

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone !

I'm thinking about replacing all my hardwood window frames (and possibly the doors) with something that needs less maintenance. Has anyone in the Pattaya/Sattahip areas done this, and if so, what replacement options did you go with? I'd also love to hear any personal recommendations you might have for a reliable supplier and fitting contractor.

Thanks in advance for your help!

We just drove around our area, and looked at the house builds, when they got to the glass doors & windows installation part.   Stopped and checked out the work, and when we found one we like, hired them.

We're not in your area.  All were aluminum & glass.  Strong, sturdy, not shaking or wobble, and slide nicely, or have very strong hinges.   After peeking at a few, you'll be able to feel the better quality ones.  Should have a bit of weight to them, but slide nicely.

NO PVC ... it's the tropics, and the heat & sun will eat them up.   They're cheaper for a reason.

Same as when shopping for cars, when opening, closing door, some feel solidly built, other cheap & tinny.

We're below Hua Hin, on other side of the Gulf.
