Nowhere did I read that the police had raided the compound.

Yeah, okay, they investigated from outside.

Usually the press report has the police "rushing to the scene"

My guess is that as it gets older it needs a mate. The roaring is a cry to lionesses in the area to come on over.

Fortunately Pattaya has lots of mates.

Right, motorbikes next.

They keep us awake next to Thappraya Road all night long.

Their noise is quite extraordinary.

I used to live not far from a railway line, and got used to that noise, but motorbikes, especially those on Thappraya Road, Second Road, I cannot get used to that~!

The incident took place in Soi Phratamnak, Pattaya, ...................unmistakable sound of a lion.

Is this the "mane" road?

Mr Vaikunda Nadar Thivakaran, a 54-year-old Russian national

Did they mix up nationalities? Sound very much Indian to me.

It's a bit difficult to pin a restraining order on a soi dog though isn't it.

Not sure it would be so easy with a fully grown lion either!

I can't tell from a bark whether they are soi dogs or pampered pooches.  On my prestigious moobaan, my sleep is interrupted by dogs with deaf owners who can't train their animals or couldn't give a toss about others.
