Yodarapper Posted Monday at 08:14 AM Posted Monday at 08:14 AM Hi, I'll be going on my first long distance trip on my new EV - an ATTO 3 Extended. I am going with the family to Rayong, area where the marriot is. It's about 182km from my starting point to my hotel. There is no charging available in my hotel, I have asked and they have provided these two links - 1 is a website that is all in Thai and the other is a PEA Volta station that is 30 minutes from my hotel. Can you help me plan my trip please and where you would stop to charge? I would like to go there in one drive without stopping but I think either during my stay or on the way back I would need to charge up.....Im only staying 2 nights. So there in one and then stop on drive back? This is what the hotel provided: Regarding to your inquiry, please find nearby EV car charging station from attached link below. https://evcar-charging.com/ https://www.google.com/maps/place/PEA+VOLTA+Charging+Station/@12.7864909,101.6730213,14z/data=!4m9!1m2!2m1!1sEVolt+Charging+Station!3m5!1s0x310313100182da17:0x4e95664436a937d8!8m2!3d12.7864965!4d101.6730116!16s%2Fg%2F11s5kfktt3?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDIwNS4xIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D Refer to your information, please be informed that we will provide a 1/2 pound complimentary birthday cake on your birthday. How would more expert EV drivers plan this trip? Thank you!
JBChiangRai Posted Monday at 09:08 AM Posted Monday at 09:08 AM I would ask for the General Manager's email address and ask him if there is a power socket at the hotel where you can park your car and plug it in (the GM will be a foreigner). The JW Marriot at Khao Lak offered this. 1

Hummin Posted Monday at 09:37 AM Posted Monday at 09:37 AM I see it is not completely updated, missing a few in Chaiyaphum. Anyway, there must be some app available that have most charging points.
KhunLA Posted Monday at 01:29 PM Posted Monday at 01:29 PM What are you plans at Rayong ? Any ideas on dining outside hotel, or attractions, which may be near or even have a CS a very short distance away. Plan on hitting a shopping center ? Although as suggested, contact hotel, and if allowed, just top up there. Offer 6-7-8 baht a kWh if they don't simply offer for free. Of course if anyone has to P on the way, as it is a 2.5-3 hr drive, hopefully closer to Rayong, then hit a station that has a CS, as map shows plenty. PTT / EV Station Pluz will keep them occupied for 15+ minutes. Just plug in as soon as you pull in. Do a tester before the road trip.
