Like the time the guy pulled me over saying I did not have on a regulation helmet and gave me a ticket. I said well what about all the people the Thai people driving by with no helmet at all? He said do not worry about them.

I had  problem with a Thai neighbour, he called the police to try settle the matter, my Thai wife asked for a Translator  to translate what the Police were talking about, he said he was a Lawyer, & that i should forget about  going to Court over this matter because being a Farang you will never win...I replied  how does it feel to be a Lawyer  in such a Corrupt country.....No answer was his reply

I expect the question simply confused him!

Yonks ago I got into a legal problem with another foreigner, which meant that I was not allowed to leave Thailand until the matter was resolved. (I was on the blacklist for leaving the country).

I was on a visa-exempt entry - 30 days.

Every 30 days I had to obtain a letter of authorisation from a certain police station, and take this to the immigration office in Pattaya, so that they would extend my stay in Thailand, (otherwise I'd be on overstay).

The police officer charged me 5,000 baht on each occasion for that letter......

Another occasion, in a different part of Thailand, I had a major issue with a druggie who invaded my little bed and breakfast business, and claimed it was now his business.  I called the local cops who sided with the druggie because he was their drug supplier....

I'm sure there are many honest policemen and women, but I prefer to keep all of them at arm's length.

Don't drive drunk, don't drive without a helmet, don't speed and make sure you have the appropriate licence...not too hard to understand...if you can't at least do this, you have no right to complain whatsoever

Defying own duty while demanding more rights.

Violating other people's rights while doing best to defend their own when caught for wrongdoings.

Common sick sociology in the 1st world, after 1960s.

And the "Liberal" often sides with those.

All things that Thais do to excess. Driving around Thailand and observing motor cyclists you would think it was mandatory NOT to wear a helmet.
