last call for alcohol.

i'm in bed before 9 most nights to avoid alcohol-induced suppressed anger.

At 78 my running days are over and I am quite content to watch movies at home while sipping wine. I always told the girls: 1 glass I am relaxed. 2 glasses and I want to get “cuddly”. 3 glasses and they are safe again as I am sleepy. Guess I am more a lover than a fighter. Hope this brings a smile … as intended.

I have a glass or two every night, but I do not need to suppress anything.

I just do not get angry.

Only ever been involved in one fight - 65 years ago.

School bully would not let me walk away. (I lost! )

Concur. I did get to avoid that bully. I told him he was bigger and would, no doubt beat me but … Since I knew I was outmatched and he was insisting on a fight … the first thing I was going to do was go for his balls. End of the threat …

Totally wrong. There are numerous of Thai beaches that are very good.

Brave women tried to stop the fight.

Not really brave.  They know that the likelihood of them being attacked is very low, and they might be able to use their influence to calm men down.

Spoke to friends on Phuket just this  morning . They’ve had enough, life has become unbearable, traffic jams everywhere, nowhere to park, beach chairs the whole length and width of the beaches, filth , rubbish bags lining the roads as the garbage trucks can’t manage. Rats.  The Hoi polloi of the western world and the dregs of Russia , China and India joining in. Plus all the con artists, scammers and bitcoiners, drunks and stoned tourists, it’s hard to believe I once loved it there and planned on retiring. So glad I didn’t.

Pattaya is the same , a concrete jungle and non stop jams. Tourism gone crazy. Greed.

Feel for those who bought condos and moved here.

Now unable to sell those condos. Most just getting offers to rent out only.

This place is ghastly now. Thanks Sretta

I agree it's probably the lack of women. I was in Chaweng in January and all the bars / clubs were full of groups of men in their 20s. A sea of man bags, beards and tatts.

I thought I was having a bad dream.

Looks like the Benidorm British crowd. Influenced by social media to come to Thailand instead of fighting in Benidorm or Magaluf.

Yes it was once a nice place to visit & had a good reputation.

Now like Bali , it’s sadly sinking into the bog .   Mass tourism agenda, cheap booze & lodgings and let nature take its course.

Automatically deport all in brawl. Take direct to detention at airport.  And send back home next flight.  That should teach others.

1 week in jail first.

With all the negative news items coming from Phuket nearly every day, here is my solution:  Just shut it down:  Close Phuket to all tourists ... simple!  (LOL)

Don't forget - the riff raff from the West is mainly the addicted pot smokers.

Say, you can't get stoned legally in Vietnam or Cambodia can you?

That's one of the issues. The soft policing approach, terrified to upset tourists.

It's ruining life for those who don't get drunk and look for violence, or break the law.

Been all over Thailand on me bike and when ever down south I have for some reason always avoided Phuket Krabi no doubt a beautiful place but just the types it attracts put me off. Now Thailand  is a funny place and I have been out at all times of the night in many towns but one thing that should be remembered. Respect, Thailand is dangerous at night after sun set. Certainly to a Westener brought up in a nanny state. One has to be vigilant at all times same as driving in Thailand you have to drive defensively they are all potential accidents wanting to hit you. 🙏

I've never considered Thailand to be a dangerous place no matter what time of day or night.

Thailand - The Benidorm of Asia.

What have you got against man-bags ? I like my man-bag for carrying my 2 telephones , my wallet ,passport , bank book ,cigarettes , tissues , condoms , spectacles in protective case , etc etc . I am a 100% heterosexual man , maybe you are fighting against your feminine traits ?
