Yes. let's do that. Junk the fat-headed deal for $360 billion worth of obsolete nuclear submarines.

Australia can start by putting reciprocal tariffs on every American product. The US has a positive balance of trade.

Then we can tell you to remove all your secret bases which make us a nuclear target. What the hell, it only neuters half your surveillance capabilities in your race with China.

Afterwards, nationalize all American assets in Australia.

You need us more than we need you.

Unfortunately I think the (race with China)is lost.just what do you think XI is going to think of trumps abject abandoning of Ukraine?or Europe for that matter…..

The title of this thread should read: " JD manages to alienate a few more allies".

Your so bias, nothing he states will please you.

He is going to worry about the increased firepower we have in the Pacific if we dont have to babysit the Euros over their imaginary pest Russian enemy and keep them from killing each other on ethnic, political or religious grounds.

Religious fruitcakes, at least the American kind, are far less dangerous than Socialists.

Allies implies equality, not a teat sucking infant with a nursery falling apart.

You offer nothing in terms of military might.

America was only too happy to have Australian boots on the ground in a number of its military adventures.

You should read history, instead of trying to revise it

Useless pawns are always needed in military offensives.

He really hit a nerve as the technocrats are screaming.

Here is one mans take:

Time for hard truths. Guess we know why we have so much hysteria here from the folks whose boot is being lifted off the people.

Good speech about what not to do, not banning dissenting voices, like was done to the Associated Press for not obeying his boss.

But aside from that confusing message, his speechwriter did a good job.

"Mosier has come under criticism, with some scholars calling his work "deeply flawed"[4] and "dreadful".[5] The Myth of the Great War: A New Military History of World War I has been said to have a "contempt for history,"[5] and overlooks huge parts of history that debunk the narrative being created".

Check his sources like I said. Read the book.

You dont think that the Pres has the power to bar fake news outlets?

Especially an organization or members who have potential criminal liability for the possible misuse of Federal funds?

Why do his sources negate the criticism?

I am not interested enough to spend money on the book.

Americas allies are israel and japan. Not the euros who focus on other countries problems and not their own

I thought Australia was an ally, although it might not be for much longer if Trump persists with his moronic tariffs.

That the left has to lie is the big tell.

No one has banned dissenting voices but the left.

I was not joking!  If Trump and his supporters are speaking then there is a very high percentage chance that they sre lying.

Just look at the thousands of lies Trump made during his first term!

PS;  Just because their lips are moving it does not mean they are speaking therefore they are not necessarily lying!  Hence the wording I used.

Servant. Allies implies equality of power, not one who receives more than he gives.

You got bases, you got minerals and not much else. Do you have a Navy? Lots of coastline. The manly Aussie soldiers stalking Japanese in the jungle is no more and you have turned into a nation of entitled woke whingers enabled by our blood and treasure.

We will tariff you as we so chose and there is nothing you can do about it. We guarantee your freedom, now do what you are told when told.

Meanwhile, the background story is that Trump is a puppet for Putin. Vance is alienating our allies by insulting them, which is a tacky move.  It's especially tacky considering the current state of the US.  Putin's goal is to get the US out of NATO so he can eventually take over Europe. Myopic nationalists only focus on the 'socialism' aspect of Europe, which is a problem, but fail to see the big picture. The leaders are counting on the citizens only being able to play Checkers while they're making Chess moves.
