SpaceX has a commerical relationship with the Polish government. It is not a servent of the US government. The US government might regard "Starlink" as a controlled export, but they have made no indication they will block Russian subscribers.

 

I am not saying they will block Russians... i said they are threatening to block Ukraine if they do not want to reimburse some money being supplied by the US on their war with Russia..

So the American government will effectively interfere in the contractural arrangements between a private US company and the Polish government, a NATO member.

 

Basically the stories going around about the American blocking Starlink are just that, stories.

 

The cash has mostly gone from the US government  to US companies, and into the paypackets of American workers, and shareholder dividands, and a bit flowing back to the US government in the form of taxes and reimbursements to the DoD for use of airlift.

 

It is within the ability of the Americans to deprive Russian and Iranian drone operators access to Starlink, which gives them an advantage.
