I'd be Okay with that.  Only not order it shut down, as that
wouldn't be necessary.

Set it up as a purely private, for-profit business.  Cut all government funding,  Let it pay for itself with weekly Bud-Light nights.

Of course, if they privately decide to continue offering crap unappealing to normal people,  they'll go bankrupt.

Either way, same-same.

I'm so not suprised.

Americans were interested in the cancelled because of fascist ideology events BTW.

Nothing stopping them from renting a concert hall and putting on a show themselves.

They just want to have their beefcake and eat it, too.

They're talking here about the term drag, which the origin shows in the link. Trump was quoted that drags were anti American, but the term started in America.  Homosexuality came about since the first people........This close association between the term drag and the LGBTQ community began in the United States in the 1920s with the Pansy Craze when the first gay bars in America were established by the mafia during the Prohibition Era and drag entertainers became a popular form of entertainment at these underground gay speakeasies. Before this point, the term drag was not necessarily associated with gay culture, but after this point forward drag became "inextricably tied to the queer community".[3]

Drag? Like Halloween which was stolen from Scotland.

Socialists want capitalists to pay for their lifestyles or you get labelled fascist.

Who cares? Everyone knows Trump mouths off at any group that does not vote for him, or kiss his ring.

How un-American is it to call fallen soldiers suckers and losers?

They voted for him mostly. You don't vote.

The word Halloween originated in Scotland from the origin of All Saints Eve, which is from Samhain and the Celts.

Have you been to the Kennedy Center.

It's meant to include all Americans.

Not only straight white nationalist

Maga fascists.

Not to the Kennedy Center, but I did attend the Fishnet Fiesta in Tuscon, in costume.

I imagine you know how difficult it is for a 6-foot tall hunsum man to find fishnet stockings...in Arizona.

Interesting thing happened on the way to the lab.....no government subsidies.  Great Scott!  It paid for itself.

All those have American origins besides the ladyboys, which come from Egypt. Ladyboy shows are all over now.

So do you agree with Trump that drag performance is anti American?

Nobody does, in fact.

Trump is just joking around.

Along with public tax dollars footing the bill.

I don't want my tax dollars going to support something I don't believe in.  Drag shows, are not an art.

Sure the alphabet folks can, maybe, find a private venue, and hey, actually pay for themselves.   The free ride is over for special interest groups.

Thank President Trump

I don't support drag shows as anything besides adult entertainment but they are an art form..............https://www.hrc.org/resources/understanding-drag

Personally, I think dudes that dress like women (except for like old timey plays etc) have issues that are rooted in perverse sexuality and they should seek mental health treatment if their illness becomes too blatantly manifest

There is history within entertainment, especially within Burlesque. Guys dressing as gals isn't new.  Bob Hope, Milton Berle, Corporal Klinger, no doubt probably Benny Hill. And I have no problems with drag show that are where they belong - in the realm of adult entertain in clubs and venues like Vegas. So it's not even necessarily perverse.  But?  It has no place in schools or in children venues.

I'm not talking classic entertainment, nor plays behind the Front Line at Ypres

Same in Thailand. Ladyboy shows are private sector.

How many here have heard of Drag Queen Shows in Thai public schools?  And yet the trans-sexual culture is very accepted here.  But do they have Drag Queen Story Hour in pre-school?  Pratom?  Mathayom?  I've never heard of it because Thai culture is still conservative in nature.

This is DTrump at his *best* with "Distraction-Politics".

The House has just passed a contentious Tax+Spending-Bill, but Team-DT would prefer that we don't talk about it.

So here we are, ... talking instead about Drag-Shows.

*This* has been DT's play-book for 10y.

Not, not so new.

But, in the past, far more titillating and amusing.

Trump is no dummy.

Please do not underestimate his intelligence.
