Went to Bangkok Bank today, to take out my monthly transfer. US Social Security money which is routed through the NY Bank. Since 2016 it has always shown as FTT, today the code showed up as TPP, had the banker call Bangkok to see what is up with this. Apparently they are changing over to TPP, hope Immigration is made aware of this. I use the monthly method.

You could ask Bangkok Bank for a copy of the Credit Advice Receipt, which should show the origin of the funds. These are free, and some say they receive these via email.

After your twelfth transfer, you can ask Bangkok Bank (foreign remittance desk) for a Credit Advice Summary document ( 100 baht) which lists all 12 qualifying foreign transfers, and is addressed to Immigration and festooned with garuda stamps and signatures.

You can find samples of both of these by searching this site  Google bangkok bank credit advice receipt site: aseannow.com

They set me up for automatic email credit advice statetments. The new code for them was a little confusing, no one new anything about it had to contact the main office in Bangkok to get info. Strange that the sms I got says Prompt Pay, I don't use prompt pay.

I saw the same change from FTT code to TPP code on a friends VA compensation and SS compensation deposits each in a separate bank account at different branches of Bangkok Bank here in Chiang Mai. Bangkok Bank seems to be saying this change  was caused by a change made by US Treasury funds disbursement group. Both changes showed up for first time on March 3rd transfers into the accounts.  I did a Wise transfer to one of the accounts on same day using code for funds being used in Thailand for living expense. That went through as a FTT transaction. Chiang Mai Immigration says they will not accept a TPP transaction for the 65,000 Baht per month visa extension.

In that case a credit advice for each months deposit will be required, more paper work

The account can now be accessed online and, although I have not requested it, an ATM card can be issued.

What you show in the picture is an explanation from Bangkok Bank (stamped and signed) that the code for the transfer has changed.

Even though I would expect that immigration understands that, you might better take this and the updated bank book and ask beforehand. Might save you extra effort for additional documents.

I assume you have a (yearly) confirmation of your payment in English language?
Would always take this with me to immigration.

I always get a yearly statement, I asked the bank to start sending me credit advices for each transfer, they talked to the main office in Bangkok and said they could do monthly email credit advices, still have not received the one for March but it has only been three working days, will wait for one week and go back in if I have not received one.
