AOT limousine service being replaced (maybe)

Featured Replies

From the AOT website:

"Due to the development of the AOT Limousine system and changes of the car models also the service prices

The current reservation system will be available until March 31, 2025

We apologize for any inconvenience caused."

AOT has cancelled reservations already in place for April and told customers with those reservations to obtain refunds upon arrival, then to rebook with 'whoever the new service provider will be....."  (This is third party information from a frequent traveler web forum.)

(Note: I know there are plenty of other options like ARL, Grab, metered taxis, your wife picks you up, etc.  Not what the thread is about.)

Pretty awful customer service IMHO, verging on contempt.

Even better, the customer affected said AOT was charging him a 5% cancellation fee.  :post-4641-1156693976:

Only used this "service" once.  Driver did not know the way to MBK, o spent most of the ride on his phone asking for directions; using phone while driving on toll-way/

Never again;  Airport taxis may not be much, but better than this.  Another Thai way to rip off the tourist.

Use AOT many times over the years and never had a problem with them. No speeding, no using the phone while driving, no problem with getting me to my hotel, directions not required.

Always courteous drivers.

Thanks for your service AOT

Worse than that, if you call them to try and get a refund they're saying you are cancelling and want to charge a cancellation fee!

That explains a lot. Trying to book an AOT car for some clients who are arriving next week. Their website is down and a search as to why led me here.  I've used AOT dozens of times over the years and always got good service.

Going to try Asia Car Service instead if anyone has tried them? They get good reviews. Anyone?

So I did use asiacarservice. 6am flight arrival, three passengers with lots of bags, Suvarnabhumi to Mandarin Oriental, and it cost $58 USD.

My clients said the car was clean, the driver polite and drove professionally. So overall a good service.

And a much easier/better online booking service than AOT.

Nice. Their site is still down though which isn't very helpful. I wonder why they haven't noticed?

They now have a shiny new website to go with their shiny new cars. Much better than their old site.

I see their cars almost daily; lots of EVs including Merc EQS, Aion Y, Deepal L07.

Having used https://www.asiacarservice.com/ whilst AOT was offline - and they were good - I'll probably revert to AOT next time I need it based on the newness and EV-ness of their cars.

Yes, they do have a shiny new web address.

And for those interested, here it is,
