But to answer. No I don't think it is. I've lived a very selfless life and it hardly seemed worth it so far.

People see kindness as weakness and try to take advantage whenever they can.

It's all an illusion anyways.

Is it better to do good in this world

Absolutely.

I am not into any particular religious faith.

But I strongly believe it and practice.

Since I was born, I have been helped by countless people back home, in all the countries I stayed/lived.

So "returning" it little by little to others.

Pay It Forward; chain reaction of the human kindness.

One good inspirational video on YouTube.

But moderately.

Sometimes need to evaluate the situation carefully.

Be Blunt and Cold to the Bad Guys who trap the innocent/abuse  others' good will.

That's how I do things.

Yes, you should do as much good as you can now because, IMO, there is nothing following your life here.

there is nothing following your life here.

To be pedantic there is lots of other life after yours on this planet ends, :sorry:

Seriously, that's only your opinion. There is more to this existence than you or I can see, and there is no proof that "we" don't carry on in another dimension.

BTW, if you actually believe that it's a good reason not to do good as there are no rewards for doing good and no punishment for being bad.

By "...there is nothing following your life here," I mean once you're dead, that's it. Then there is nothing.

Yes, all of this is only my opinion.

There is no more to existence than what you experience. There is no "other dimension." There is only what you experience.

You should do what you think is right (good) without expecting or considering rewards or punishments.

There are always...

Worms, obviously.

Yes, there might be worms. That's why I have put into my will my desire, when I'm dead, to be put into a degradable sack, un-ebalmed, and buried in a big hole with a tree planted on top of me. If there is anything after I die like I perceive now, then, as fertilizer, I will become a part of the tree. 👍

So now, we are talking about The Carbon Cycle?

We seem to be covering almost EVERYTHING in this Topic.

This is why my Topics are just so....

Stupendous.

Right?

Maybe, but I'd prefer the WDSmart Cycle... 😁
