Stock market appears to be bouncing back in spite of all the negative messaging by the MNM.

No it is not. It has stabilized and no longer  in descent, but the losses are still there with no recovery yet. Look at the indices. The Dow is slightly down, and NASDAQ is sightly up. Hardly a  bounce back.

Dad’s home and he’s cleaning up the mess , that the previous administration of terrorist sympathizers left .

Your daddy is making things worse actually.  The first two months of Trump, inflation has been higher than the average of the last 6 months under Biden.

Not so much about inflation but sure, the US stock market has shed a lot the last week.

MSM makes it out like the sky's falling.

I'm down a little on my USA portfolio but nothing to panic over.

We got Canadians throwing up maple leafs and turning rabidly anti-American.

Typical dumb axrse Canucks.

Liberal Party of Canada milking it to the last drop for re-election.

Canada would be nothing without the USA.

Canucks better slap some sense into their midget brains.

Is it true the only difference between Trudeau and Carney is one went Blackface . Basically the same woke ideology !

Interesting especially when a direct comparison of July 2024 and Feb 2025 is made and indeed the 1st half of 2024 the inflation rate was 3%+.

Keep it up. You have the mentality of a US  daytrader, always wanting  quick profit. This is a long haul change. We are only a few days into the  economic madness of Donald and friends. The US consumers haven't seen the impact of tariffs, and won't for a few months.  Offering childish insults about Canada  isn't going to change  the impact that  tariffs will have. The shock of tariffs isn't going to tame inflation for long as Trump et al are gambling on. US consumers will  cut back on spending, but it will be on services, and services are the  bulk of the US economy. They will still need to  buy essentials and it is the essentials that will increase 25% or more.

Wait until the next flood or wild fire or hurricane when the USA is desperate for lumber, steel and aluminum. The current rebuilding in California is going to increase  at least 10-15% because of tariffs. (and that's on top of the increase due to the shortage of labor because of the. loss of Mexicans). And before you  make a crack about California, just remember it is the state that subsidizes much of the impoverished quasi bankrupt states like Alabama and Louisiana. The hurricane damaged part of North Carolina is still a big garbage dump wasteland because of the problems to rebuild due to construction material and labor shortages.

Hardly a collapse either yet some on here are quick to respond to any downward movement and silent on any signs of recovery.

You described it as bouncing back, which it most certainly is not. It is paused. We are only in the early days.

Whatever you find interesting, no thinking person could look at these numbers and think Trump has reduced inflation since taking office which was the ridiculous and false premise of the OP.

I guess the US doesn't need electricity for the northeastern corridor, and it can do without 50% of its oil supply.

It was so funny when Doug Ford was trying to play hard man with Trump by making electricity for American families more expensive.

When Trump saw it and promptly said "Ok 50% tariffs on Canada" Ford replied "Ok, I will not do it, I am sorry America, let's talk".

Talk about a smack down.

That is not what happened. Why  mislead people?

- Ontario Premier Doug Ford said he was temporarily suspending his province’s planned 25% surcharge on electricity exported to the U.S.

- U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick called him and said, let's talk and it was agreed to meet and talk.  As a gesture of good will, the surcharge was suspended, UNTIL after the.  meeting.

- After the call between Lutnick and Ford, a White House adviser confirmed that Trump had also suspended the additional steel and aluminum tariff asa gesture of good will too.

There was no smack down, but. Ford got the attention of. Secretary Lutnick. The Canadian finance minsiter and premier  Ford had a strategy  to wake the USA up. Unlike the UK, Canada is not rolling over.

54 days. What do you expect? Reality is it's up 0.2% from October 2024 (2.6%) and down 0.1% from Dec 2024 (2.9%). This reality of course won't stop your frothing at the mouth hatred of Trump.

The low inflation figures are of course excellent news. Whether tariffs will cause massive inflation remains to be seen.

But this is good news for now.

Doesn't remain to be seen, if you add 25% on an item it will cost more ergo more inflation.
