Social Media Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago President Donald Trump said he would speak to Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday as he pushes to end the war in Ukraine. The U.S. leader disclosed the upcoming conversation to reporters while flying from Florida to Washington on Air Force One on Sunday evening. “We will see if we have something to announce maybe by Tuesday. I will be speaking to President Putin on Tuesday,” Trump said. “A lot of work’s been done over the weekend. We want to see if we can bring that war to an end.” Although Russia failed in its initial goal to topple Ukraine with its invasion three years ago, it still controls large swaths of the country. Trump said land and power plants are part of the conversation around bringing the war to a close. “We will be talking about land. We will be talking about power plants,” he said. Trump described it as “dividing up certain assets.” Based on a report by AP News 2025-03-17 1 1

Popular Post billd766 Posted 6 hours ago Popular Post Posted 6 hours ago I wonder what has happened to Trump's claim that he will end the Ukraine war in 24 hours, or is that a forbidden (by Trump) subject nowadays? https://www.euronews.com/2025/03/15/trump-says-he-was-a-bit-sarcastic-when-he-claimed-he-could-end-the-war-in-ukraine-in-24-ho US President Trump claimed he wasn't being serious when he repeatedly claimed he could end the war in Ukraine in 24-hours during his presidential campaign. https://apnews.com/article/trump-russia-ukraine-war-solved-f51b96e4e690341caee65358bcbab1fa Trump says he was being a ‘bit sarcastic’ when he promised to end Russia-Ukraine war in 24 hours President Donald Trump speaks to reporters during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the White House in Washington, Thursday, March 13, 2025. (Pool via AP) By MICHELLE L. PRICE Updated 8:49 AM GMT+7, March 15, 2025 Share WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — President Donald Trump said Friday that he was “being a little bit sarcastic” when he repeatedly claimed as a candidate that he would have the Russia-Ukraine war solved within 24 hours — and even before he even took office. Trump was asked about the vow he repeatedly made on the campaign trail during an interview for the “Full Measure” television program as his administration is still trying to broker a solution 54 days into his second term. “Well, I was being a little bit sarcastic when I said that,” Trump said in a clip released ahead of the episode airing Sunday. “What I really mean is I’d like to get it settled and, I’ll, I think, I think I’ll be successful.” It was a rare admission from Trump, who has a long record of making exaggerated claims. https://www.wsj.com/video/watch-trump-says-as-president-hed-settle-ukraine-war-within-24-hours/0BCA9F18-D3BF-43DA-9220-C13587EAEDF2 There are many more links saying similar things. IMHO, Trump as usual, was simply shooting his mouth of with no idea what he was talking about. 2 1
Eric Loh Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago He will regurgitate Putin’s 4 conditions and called it a day. He is already parroting Putin’s narrative on the situation in Kursk so I don’t expect earth shattering breakthrough in his discussion with Putin. Putin holds all of Trump’s cards. 1 1
