And the folks wonder why, the LOS is still considered a third world county......

Why are you posting such garbage? Do you realize that this person does not represent the mindset of the population?

What is wrong, is of course that they just took him off the express way. Seem like they have no such written regulations for minor roads. That´s wrong but it does not make it a third world country.

FYI - Here is a list of Third World Countries: https://www.nationsonline.org/oneworld/third_world.htm

May not be third world, But it is third world thinking !!  Safety in Thailand who cares!!!

But do you even know what the expression Third World Country stands for? There is nothing there, that has anything to do with how a country is thinking.

It´s original meaning is that countries that was not aligned with USA and allies (seen as the First World) or Soviet Union (Second World) was seen as belonging to the Third World. After that, some wise asses have put a new meaning to it, by referring to a county´s infrastructure and wealth. Today more like used as a replacement for underdeveloped countries. The definition of Third World has nothing at all to to with mindsets of specific persons in a country. Nor does it has anything to do with safety and safety regulations.

That was then, this is now.  The meaning or reference of "third world" has changed.

Overloaded PIck-Ups are common here; they seem to think that they are constructed to take the loads normally loaded on a 5-Tonner.   Does'nt help much when tyres are not inflated properly either.

Yes, and I explained both meanings. Old and new. Still nothing that connect. Try read better next time. Not only the first sentence,
