Durian is so expensive,the question is why??

I'm walking around Pattaya markets ,I see a small tray written in it 420 baht ,I'm gobsmacked!

 

Where is this fruit grown !

It takes about 6 years of taking care of the trees before they bear any fruit.

Especially species. Have you ever seen the prices they charge downstairs at the Paragon?
