Cybercrime police in Chiang Rai, have arrested three individuals suspected of operating three major online gambling websites, with a combined annual turnover of 700 million baht. The arrests were made following a series of coordinated raids on two locations.

On 21 March, officers from the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB), in collaboration with the Police Technology Crime Suppression Division (PTCSD), launched two simultaneous raids targeting online gambling operations in Chiang Rai.

The first raid took place at a resort in Ban Du Subdistrict, Mueang Chiang Rai District, where police apprehended Nattawut 36. Authorities seized one desktop computer, two mobile phones, and a bank account book as evidence.

The second operation was conducted at a house in Pa Tueng Subdistrict, Mae Chan District, leading to the arrest of Pongsakorn (26) and Rattikal (27), a married couple. Officers confiscated one desktop computer, two laptops, and two mobile phones from the property.

According to Lieutenant General Trairong, the investigation revealed that the suspects were administrators for three online gambling platforms:

• IMBA369

• ROYAL BET

• TIME DELEY

These sites offered various gambling services, including slot games, baccarat, poker, sic bo, dragon tiger, and live casino games. The operations were based in Mueang Chiang Rai and Mae Chan Districts.

During questioning, Nattawut admitted to working as an administrator for IMBA369, which had over 14,000 members and a monthly turnover of 50 million baht. His role involved website promotion, advertising, and financial management, for which he received a monthly salary of 30,000 baht.

Meanwhile, Pongsakorn and Rattikal confessed to managing ROYAL BET and TIME DELEY, which together had 50,000 members and an annual turnover exceeding 100 million baht. They were responsible for marketing, customer support, and user registration, earning 15,000 baht per month each.

All three suspects have been charged with “organising, promoting, advertising, or inducing others to gamble via electronic media without official permission.”

The police have stated that further investigations are ongoing, with efforts to track down additional members of the gambling network.

Authorities have warned the public about the dangers of illegal online gambling, urging people to report suspicious activities to law enforcement agencies.
