I had a friend who drown.  He said it was a pleasant experience.  Needless to say he was rescued and resuscitated.

Agree its terrible. 

 

It depends on how squirmish and disturbing things will become with mice around your home. If you can tolerate them then fair enough, try something else. If they start breeding and you simply cannot even sleep in your home out of fear  - then you have to take extreme measures.
