But walk away and don't watch, or the sight of it struggling to get out may horrify you for years to come. A friend told me..... Here's the last one I treated to some water-boarding. I didn't stay around to watch it pass peacefully...

Unless you chew your feet off to escape, and then die of blood loss. But that's just me. Not only that, they mostly get one foot stuck and then thrash around

According to Medical Daily, when we're struggling in water, we tend to hyperventilate. This usually leads to breathing in water, which causes a laryngospasm or vocal cord spasm. According to Healthline, breathing in water can be very painful, and if you get water into your lungs the sensation is a searing pain that often lasts long after you're out of the water. According to an article in The Medico-Legal Journal, this process can be incredibly painful, especially when combined with the sheer panic most people experience while actively drowning. It depends on how squirmish and disturbing things will become with mice around your home. If you can tolerate them then fair enough, try something else. If they start breeding and you simply cannot even sleep in your home out of fear - then you have to take extreme measures.
