A tragic incident unfolded on March 26 when a gunman, suspected of mistaking a fellow hunter for wildlife, fatally shot 31-year-old Chaiwat in a dense forest area near the border between Mueang Paeng subdistrict, Pai district, and Huai Poo Ling subdistrict, Mueang Mae Hong Son district. Following the incident, the gunman, identified as Preecha, surrendered to authorities.

Two Arrested in Thai Gun Intimidation and Debt Collection Case

The Technology Crime Suppression Division in Mueang Thong Thani has arrested two men, Satawat and Pirawit, aged 25 and 26 respectively, for using social media to brandish firearms in a bid to intimidate rivals while collecting debts. Their arrests were announced on March 27 at a press conference led by Police Lieutenant General Trirong Phiwphan.

Pavena Hongsakul, chairman of the Pavena Hongsakul Foundation for Children and Women, has brought to light a harrowing case of domestic abuse involving a 28-year-old mother from Krabi province. The woman, Miw, reported that her ex-partner, Nueng, had unlawfully taken custody of their two children, aged 10 and seven, and was abusing them.

The week-long search for Thongjuea Kaewkong, a 65-year-old father of a local assistant village headman in Phetchaburi province, ended tragically with the discovery of his body on March 27. The search operation, led by the Sawang Sanphet Thammasathan Foundation, located him in the dense forest of Ban Thung Pong, Klat Luang subdistrict, approximately 1 kilometre from the main road.
