Hi all, I'm sorry I know this has probably been asked a million times but I scrolled through and haven't found info. Simple question is what documents do I need to bring to my local immigration to extend a 60 day exempt for 30 days? And how soon before stamp expiry date can I go into immigration.

Thanks in advance 🙏

For Chiangmai:

1.  Completed TM 7 form (with photo- 4 x 6cm).  And neatly write your phone number below your signature on 2nd page.

2. Photocopy of passport pages: entire photo-page including the code numbers and page showing entry stamp. Sign your full name in blue ink on both photocopies.

For "reasons for extension", just write "extending vacation" or something like that.

3. 1,900 baht.

4. Typically want a photocopy of TM30 too (has been required last couple of years).

If you intend using Jomtien,  easier to do a Visa run. Because they are giving everyone the run around, trying to push everyone into the hands of that horrible little ****** outside saying they can fast track you through for 4000 baht. Nasty people.

You are referring to a border bounce for new visa exempt entry.

OP, has not indicated which immigration office he is dealing with.

Obtaining a 30 day extension is best option if that covers time span for holiday plans.

Certainly not the best immigration office. Here is thread with experiences.

Including using "agent"

That thread is over a year old and not relevant to how it is now. I am not sure what you have against Jomtien, it's always negative. Considering the volume of people they process they do very well. It's not a sleepy office like many in the provinces.

I stated ,..."certainly not best immigration office"

First cab of the rank is that were requiring 2 months seasoning for Non O retirement application from visa exempt entry.

That is just a made up nonsense.

Also they run hot and cold on TM30 for things such as extensions. etc.

You posted...."That thread is over a year old and not relevant to how it is now.".

The OP asked what docs are required for 30 day extension.

The links I posted have replies that list the docs.

What have you posted to assist the OP. Ans Zip.

I won't even bother to argue with you. With your mods hat on and your aweful bedside manner, you always twist the argument to make it appear you are right.

The OP asked a very simple question.

" Simple question is what documents do I need to bring to my local immigration to extend a 60 day exempt for 30 days?"

If you have first hand experience then reply to the OP directly.

@CMBobalready gave the correct answer. My issue was not related to the question it was related to the way "in my opinion", you always say that Jomtien is a rogue office when it is not. My first hand experience of Jomtien is that it's a well organised office now since the building was changed and considering the volume of people they deal with, they do an excellent job.

Doesn't take long to find MANY posts regarding Jomtien.

Here is one from random thread from @Rob Browder

"Also, if one is applying for the 90-Day Non-O in Thailand, you don't need to "season" the money for 2 months for this - only for the 12-month extension.  Same-day 800K in the bank is fine for the initial 90-Day Non-O.

The exception is Jomtien , where the lady who operates that desk will insist on non-rules seasoning OR a 15K Baht cash payoff - that scam being ongoing for many years"

Clearly your first hand experience is not regarding visa exempt to Non O.

Yep rogue office also in regards to how early the 30 day extension can be applied for.
