Trump Starts Global Tariff Wall, Thailand Hit with 36% Tax
What about all the absurd high import duty rates in Thailand ? So it's plainly tit-for-tat. As usual, it will always be the common people who may feel the pinch at first. But the big risk for the world is that all the foolish brands will start to shut down their production lines in Asia or Europe and move in the US thinking it's the only market in the world. Europe and Asia a paying the price for their foolishness and for depending so much on America all these decades. But there is always China who is smart and will be the next global player. -

Substandard Steel Likely in Collapsed Thai Government Building
A lot of Chinese steel for construction and marine use is very poor quality , crystalline and brittle ,, I have seen the results when cranes , ships frames , barges and structures snap without warning ,,,on examination the breaks are always crystalline , and look like quartz , Saw a Chinese made 2200 SWl crane with a 80m boom snap lifting a jacket offshore in 2009 , the load was only 1170 tons but the boom snapped and all the boom and cables and load fell on the deck of the vessel, Lucky No one was killed ,,, Coming out of Labuan in 2012 on a Chines built ship ship there was a bad sound like thunder ,,, and 5 frames had bent and snapped in normal weather not a Typhoon , ships pumps stopped the flooding and the job was cancelled ship went into Singapore for repairs but it was riddled with crap steel. Was in Denmark in 2015 on a British registered Chinese builts off shore vessel doing ROV cable surveys that the Danes condemned as structurally Unsafe , it was only 6 years old ,,, It was banned in all EU waters but was deemed safe for UK waters , it was a heap of junk ........ -

Will the Trump Tarriff Attack on Thailand be met with backlash against American expats here?
I think that people globally were already angry with America since the Biden's sanctions against Russia, that created global inflation and shortages, as there was no more cheap russian energy in Europe and within the foolish EU countries that applied the sanctions of Biden. All this to say that Trump's actions may piss off the regular leftist woke types but definately not a majority of people who were just fed up with what the previous US administration had done. IMHO. Sorry, no means to offence anybody. 🙏 -

Thai Baht Plummets with US Tariff Blow: 34.50 per Dollar Test Looms
Will the USA remove its longstanding trade barriers that were in place long before Trump raised the issue of tariffs? e.g. Bans on citrus. Want some tasty peanuts? Not allowed. The pesticide and fungicide infused US peanuts benefit from their protected market.
