Add insults to injuries -- some of the dumbest details about Trump's ruinous tariffs

Hey MAGAs...how's your 401K looking?

Oh, I forgot. MAGAs tend to be failures, so few have any money, so all they worry about is if their SNAP Cards and SSDI will still be paid.

I never thought I would hear anything as dumb as what POTUS said yesterday when asked about yesterday's stock market tumble...

"Market's going to boom. Economy's going to boom. Nobody has ever seen anything like it. It's going to be unbelievable."

Only MAGAs trust a silver spoon bozo with 6 bankruptcies, who only survived until his Game Show hosting gig because daddy gave him an allowance, co-signed all his loans, and left him half a billion dollars. Absent daddy and Mark Burnett, the guy would be lucky to be pouring Slurpies in a 7-11 at a truck stop in Keokuk, Iowa.

Who owns those uninhabited island?... the country that's getting the 10% tariffs no?

Ukriane.... Do you think the financial loans from the EU countries don't have to be paid?

Russia... well according to the MSM readers here.... their economy is doomed and failing, they have noting to put tariffs on.

OMG, so coffee has gone up, pretty sure Starbucks are over charging even without tariffs.

Penguins and seals.

Heard and McDonald Islands - a territory which sits 4,000km (2,485 miles) south-west of Australia - are only accessible via a seven-day boat trip from Perth, and haven't been visited by humans in almost a decade. They do not currently have any trade with the USA other than  an insignificant   amount of fish that is collected by Australian fishers and sold into world markets.  It doesn't go to the USA.

Norfolk Island  has 2200 people and  doesn't trade with the USA.  Including the Falkland Isalands in the tariff fiasco speaks to the general ignorance of the US  Commerce department. The Falklands doesn't export to the USA.

Would y'all have a look at that!

In Biden's 4 years, 800,000 new manufacturing jobs were added.

Are you willing to bet the 6 bankruptcy guy beats that? I'll take the other side.

Oh, UE went up to 4.2% and Feb jobs numbers were revised down.

The territory gets the same 10% tariff as Australia.

Operates under the laws of Australia.

WHite house calculated the non-tariff trade barriers into the magic 8-ball, and it said 10% for Australia, so of course the territories and dependencies will get the same rate.

That's the same tariff applied to Cocos Islands, pop 600.

Are they tax-paying Aussie penguins then?

It's all based on what's widely known as Navarronomics. Those less familiar with this American term may refer to Kwartenomics, as practiced briefly by the UK's Conservative party.

Donald Trump’s tariff plan, implemented since his second term began on January 20, 2025,

<Deleted for brevity> The points you raised are nearly all based upon assumptions, not facts. US stock losses on day two now amount to six trillion US  dollars; ten year forecast for increased tax revenue  - i.e. tariffs - approx $1.5 trillion. MAGA - lol

Of which ~75% were "bounce back"/recovered jobs and NOT new.  There you go lying, gaslighting again like a desperate butt-hurt biden lover. Must suck being you.

Biden’s claim of "close to 800,000 manufacturing jobs" is accurate as a measure of total jobs added since January 2021. However, it’s a mix of recovered (about 75%) and new (about 25%) jobs, and attributing all to his administration oversimplifies a complex economic picture. The figure holds up numerically, but its interpretation depends on whether one emphasizes gross gains or net growth beyond pre-COVID levels.

If Trump had announced a still aggressive tariff policy based on ACTUAL FACTS about tariff rates from other countries, done in a rational, precisely targeted reasoned manner in which the reasons were clearly explained and justified, while it still would have been stupid and damaging, it would have been minor compared to what he's actually done. Damage to the American brand that will last for generations. Total idiocy and anyone who supports what Trump has actually done which was totally based on LIES at the very least deserves no respect from decent Americans.

Have a Canadiano and chill out JT.
