Optimal Temperature for Bedroom Aerobics/Spooning: Lowest temp your wife can tolerate?

Dear Folks,

 

I don’t know about you.

But, my Asian wives and GFs really could not stand low bedroom temps.

 

I am sure they had their reasons.

 

One might imagine that, during the HOT season, a girl would appreciate a cold bedroom for sleeping.  But, from my experience, they actually do not.

 

Why are Asian women so afraid of the cold?

 

And yet, during the daytime, they complain about how HOT they are, even if they might not be so hot, compared to other women.

 

So, my questions are:

 

 a. What is the lowest bedroom temperature your GF or wife can tolerate, for sleeping?

 b. Do you ever get into bedroom arguments about…”The room is too cold”, scenario?

 c. When I was with my wives, they would always complain.  But, I don’t know why.

 

How do you deal with it when the wife says she is too cold, and you say I am sweating buckets, and it feels like I’m burning up inside?

 

What temperature do you think is optimal for bedroom aerobics?

What temperature do you think is optimal for good sleeping?

And, what about spooning?

 

And, has your wife ever heard of SPOONING…during the Hot Season, with the AC blasting, and does she enjoy it?  Or…during the Hot Season, does she just say…get away from me!!!

 

Or, does she prefer to sleep apart from you, altogether, in her own bed?

 

I have a lot of experience sleeping with Asian women. And, …

According to my experience, Asian women always complain about it being too cold.

 

Have you experienced this same thing….

Note: These days, living by myself, I keep the house temperature where I like it, at about 16 or 17 degrees C.  And, I sleep better, as a result.

 

 

I also think you might live longer if you sleep in a room which is cooled to an optimal temperature of below 18.

Feeling cold is subjective. A/C less than 26C in Thailand and I feel  uncomfortably cold. 

 

A native of Scotland would consider 26C to be a pensioner-killing heatwave.

25 is my threshold.

 

January this year I was leaving the house in the morning to head to work wearing a hoodie.

 

Also had to take my weekend car as my weekly commute pickup does not have a heater !

Where I live in Cambodia is very hot and humid.

The air conditioning in my bedroom is set at 19C at maximum fan speed.

I always get a good night's sleep.

I live on my own and sleep on top of a duvet.

 

No further comment from me.

In Thailand, 24C in the bedroom for best sleep.  We are both comfortable.  There are no complaints (there are some moans but they are to be expected in a bedroom occasionally...).

In England, 18C for best sleep.

27 is good for me, wife doesn't complain at that, but I think she'd like 26 better.

I've lived here 43 years, most of them without air con and up-country. to me 30℃ is too cold. I usually turn the air con off at night. This past "cold season" wasn't too bad, but my room is usually several degrees warmer than the outside air. I was able to leave the air con off almost every day.

At night, my wife likes it colder than I do.  Our bedroom AC is always set to the lowest possible, 18C.

Should be set to 16-degrees C.

Ours won't go lower than 18.  My wife would probably set it to 16 if it went that low.

Then, I guess, you are rather lucky that your AC cannot be set to 16, which is pretty standard on most ACs...these days.

 

Just wear long-underwear, is my best advice to you.
